Job Description

At Uncommon Schools, Special Projects Coordinators (SPCs) execute key logistics and provide operational support that enable students and teachers alike to flourish. The SPC is the executor of various school systems including assessments, facilities, student food service, staff & student technology, and event planning. The SPC reports to the school’s Director of Operations (DOO).

As the Special Projects Coordinator, you will own the execution of the following workstreams:

Family and student events, such as Report Card Conferences
Internal quarterly assessments and state assessments, ensuring that all state testing compliance and state-specific regulations are followed
Student food systems, coordinating the dispersal of all meals and partnership with food vendors
Student and staff technology
School visual décor and aesthetics, celebrating students and creating a welcoming environment
Transportation systems
Extra-curricular activities, enrichment programs, and field trips
Other projects and new initiatives to support operations and student achievement at the school

At our larger campuses, we have two or three SPC roles: SPC - Technology & Assessments, SPC - Events, and SPC - Systems. The workstreams for these roles are more specific from the list above, as the titles suggest.

Qualifications

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills with teammates, teachers, students, parents, and additional stakeholders.
Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in the face of competing demands and external pressures.
Large project oversight from planning to execution, with direct accountability for results from multiple stakeholders (teachers, building partners, operations associates, etc.)
Strong digital literacy skills, including database management and Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
Prior project management and/or office-based customer service experience.
Strong time management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
1 to 3 years of teaching or school administrative office experience

The Special Projects Engineer is expected to work on unique or complex Engineering projects that require specialized knowledge and skills as assigned by the Director of Engineering.

Who You Are…

As Special Projects Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in meeting the revenue and gross profit goals, sales, and sales margin goals on assigned accounts. This role ensures that work in the area is completed on time, within budget, to the customer’s satisfaction, and tracked in an accurate manager, all within the guidelines established by the Limbach Operating System. The person is a key member of the branch Special Projects team tasked with driving growth of the recurring revenue base across assigned accounts.

This Position…

Some examples of the work you might do includes:

Supports the branches sales and operational gross profit goals.
Assists in managing accounts by dedicating 100% of his/her time to selected and assigned mission critical MEP accounts that are aligned with the branch’s niche as a technical MEP specialist.
Makes routine customer visits daily and/or weekly for regular interaction and customer attention.
Develops excellent customer relationships by positioning the company to be the first call, “go-to” trusted source for operational maintenance and improvement of the customers mechanical systems.
Proactively analyzes mechanical systems to develop repair, replacement, upgrade, or retrofit recommendations for customers, and presents findings/estimates to the customer with the goal of closing a sale and providing excellent customer service.
Learns of customer spending habits and approval limits and assists in pricing and presenting proposals accordingly.
Works in accordance with the technical field personnel prepared to respond quickly to pressing “on demand” emergency needs, scheduled repairs, replacements and/or planned projects with professionalism and efficiency.
Works with the service coordinator and/or field operations staff to plan out daily and weekly manpower needs to support the customers.
Understands the company’s capabilities and actively collaborates across the branch to ensure a seamless customer experience and capture additional wallet share through the deployment of personnel and/or staff needed to propose the branch’s full suite of sales offerings.
Collaborates with Account Executives, Account Managers, Sales Representatives, Special Projects Managers, Areas Service Managers, Special Project Engineers and major project operations teams to ensure client needs are met.
Promptly reviews work on site, performs material, labor and equipment take-offs, writes bid scope proposals and submits for acceptance and approval.
Assists in project booking documents allowing for efficient cost management.
Assists in managing costs by promptly expediting materials, equipment, and parts in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Assists in ensuring all work is billed promptly upon completion or per the terms of appropriate contract documents.
Monitors payment of customer invoices and follows up on all receivables over 60 days past due.
Assists in strategic account planning exercises to increase recurring revenue from captive accounts.

What You Need…

Work Environment:

The Special Projects Engineer is expected to work on unique or complex Engineering projects that require specialized knowledge and skills as assigned by the Director of Engineering.

The Role:
Hadrian is building autonomous factories to support the defense industrial base. As we scale delivery across programs in aerospace, national security, and advanced manufacturing, we’re looking for program managers to lead customer-facing execution and manage infrastructure delivery across new and existing factory footprints.

This is a customer-facing execution role focused on driving outcomes across technical, complex, cross-functional programs. You’ll spend your time communicating with stakeholders, managing timelines, coordinating delivery, and maintaining accountability across both internal and external teams. The strongest candidates will bring experience in high-complexity, customer-facing environments, whether from management consulting, industrial programs, or defense delivery. As a Special Projects leader within Air Defense’s Mission Operations organization, you will be an innovative and independent problem-solver at the forefront of some of our most critical initiatives. You will be the face of Anduril to many of our end-users and our customers, capable of articulating the capabilities and limitations of Anduril’s products at both an executive’s and a layman’s level. Key Responsibilities:

Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction and repeat business. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and providing innovative solutions to meet their electrical contracting requirements.

Project Management: Oversee service and special projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely, on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop and present effective solutions for client projects including design support and estimating. Identify project risks and issues proactively, developing and implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track. Ensure all projects comply with relevant safety regulations, building codes, and legal requirements. Prepare and present regular progress reports to clients and senior management, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and solutions.

Team Leadership: Effectively manages and assigns workloads to direct reports to take advantage of the strengths of staff, training opportunities, and development of a strong and consistent department ensuring outstanding customer service. Develop and mentor the team, including active participation in succession planning. Foster employee engagement and career growth by providing training opportunities, effective feedback, and guidance as well as setting clear expectations and accountability.

Collaborative Leadership: Oversee daily operations of regional service and special projects, providing leadership, vision, and mentorship to teams. Develop and mentor the team, including active participation in the development of regional team. Contribute to organization-wide initiatives and serve as a resource and collaborator to colleagues across the organization. Business Development: Proactively seek new business opportunities by building and nurturing relationships with potential clients, industry influencers, and key stakeholders. Working Conditions:

In this role, you will work both in office and on construction job sites. When traveling to a construction job site, you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space. Your Impact 

Reporting to the VP of Accounting Operations, the Senior Manager, Accounting – Special Projects will lead global finance initiatives that drive scalability, compliance, and operational excellence. A key focus will be owning the design and implementation of our new consolidation tool—including reengineering of financial reporting, flux analysis, and critical modules such as cash flow and statutory layers.

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD $140,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD $185,000 in the highest geographic market.

Your Impact 

What You’ll Do

Lead the design and implementation of scalable accounting processes with new consolidation tool

Reengineer reporting used by the global accounting team, including cash flow statements, P&L and B/S flux analysis, and legal entity statutory layers, to enable a globally consistent close process

Act as the accounting lead for key transformation initiatives, including legal entity expansion, M&A integration, and other strategic partnership agreements

Collaborate closely with FP&A, Tax, Legal, IT, and Controllership teams to align requirements, validate data flows, and deliver audit-ready, automation-enabled solutions

Develop and maintain process documentation and Center of Excellence (CoE) standards in support of our global G&A hub strategy

Support testing, deployment, and change management for system implementations (e.g., consolidation tool, ERP enhancements), including control alignment and user enablement

Identify opportunities for automation (e.g., reconciliations, purchase requisitions, KPIs) and partner with internal teams to pilot AI or RPA where applicable

Serve as a subject matter expert on accounting implications of system design and process transformation, contributing to long-term scale and audit readiness

What You Bring

8+ years of relevant experience in accounting, systems or transformation roles

BS or equivalent in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred not required

Blend of Big 4 and industry experience at global, publicly traded companies

Hands-on experience with ERP and reporting systems (e.g., D365, OneStream, HFM, Alteryx, Adaptive)

Proven ability to lead systems implementations and design scalable accounting workflows

A day in the life

The Role:

Supply Chain Buyer, Special Projects

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Lead supplier sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing strategies to support new product introduction (NPI) within the Special Projects program.
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to improve performance, mitigate risks, and drive cost savings.
Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure clarity on specifications, timelines, and delivery standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Previous Electrical Service experience in the commercial, industrial, institutional, multi-family residential and healthcare sectors as a Red Seal electrician.
Red Seal trade qualification required.
FSR certification (master electrician) is considered an asset.
Strong knowledge of the Canadian electrical code.
Thermography level 1 considered an asset.

Class 5 license with clean abstract required.

The Special Projects Attendant will focus on deep cleaning in guestrooms & other public areas around the property.

What you will be doing:

Perform deep cleaning in public areas & guestrooms including but not limited to; floor stripping, waxing, buffing and polishing, spa facilities, carpet shampooing, striping sidewalks, general deep cleaning of public area furniture, fixtures, artwork and molding.
Vacuum carpets and rugs, dust mop and wet mop tile and marble floors. Deep clean furniture.
Dust and clean walls, baseboards, vents, ceiling lights, doors, stall doors, and dust pictures
Take initiative to add a personalized experience for the guest
Work effectively and contribute positively to a team
Cleaning of public restrooms to include sinks, mirrors, chrome fixtures, marble tops, toilets, urinals, fixtures and empty all trash cans; wall receptacles cleaned and all accessories dispensers replenished; check and replenish all soap dispensers
Report damage or malfunction in hotel rooms/areas
