About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Shift Supervisor (Afternoon Shift) to oversee our manufacturing operations. This is a full-time, afternoon-shift role (3:00pm – 11:00pm, Monday to Friday), with the potential for extended hours or weekend work during peak production periods. You’ll be responsible for overseeing daily activities, ensuring quality standards, and leading a team to meet production goals. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing supervision, with a focus on improving efficiency, safety, and product quality within the FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily production operations, leading daily toolbox meetings to set expectations, ensuring targets, quality, and safety standards are consistently achieved.
Lead, coach, and support production staff, driving teamwork, accountability, and high performance
Maintain compliance with SOPs, GMP, and food safety regulations, addressing issues promptly with QA
Monitor and analyse production performance, implementing improvements to boost efficiency and reduce waste
Manage labour, materials, and equipment resources to meet schedules and budget requirements
Prepare accurate reports on production performance, quality, and team outcomes
Conduct regular safety audits and ensure all team members are trained in safe practices to maintain a safe workplace

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Production Management desirable)
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a supervisory role within manufacturing (food, nutraceutical, or pharmaceutical industries highly regarded)
Deep understanding of production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar systems for reporting and analysis
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and SOPs
Highly organised with strong communication skills and attention to detail
