About the Role

The Manager of Service ensures the efficient and effective delivery of client service operations within the Service Team. This position is responsible for leading and developing a team of service professionals, streamlining workflows, and maintaining the highest standards of client satisfaction. Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field is Preferred, however, experience can substitute for education.

Experience

5–7 years of experience in the insurance industry

A strong background in service, account management, or operations.
2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role successfully leading teams, improving processes, and delivering exceptional client service.

Experience working with insurance management systems (e.g., Hawksoft, Insuredmine).

A deep understanding of personal lines insurance products is essential.

Prior experience in resolving client issues, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, quality assurance) is preferred.

Certificates, License, and or Specialized Requirements

Property and Casualty (P&C) License is REQUIRED
Any Industry-Specific Certifications, such as Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) is PREFERRED.

Manages renewal marketing plan (if any) with Producers and Service Teams and ensures everyone on the team is aware of the plan, and the plan is executed. Creates accurate proposal/deliverable for the Producers and Service Teams to utilize at client renewal meeting.

Reviews quotes for accuracy against supporting documents. Negotiates additional coverage/price with the underwriter.

Quickly and accurately completes the renewal bind processes and checklist and ensures all aspects of the renewal are completed and documented within the file.

Ensures that the file is accurately documented to minimize E&O exposure and to be able to quickly respond to client requests.

Requirements:

Current Insurance License in Property & Casualty and/or Health & Life for the state in which your agency office is located.

Ability to work toward professional designation.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Personal Lines Account Manager has a primary responsibility for providing superior customer service to clients and carriers. Our first objective is to retain existing clients.

Field and respond promptly to client inquiries via phone, mail, and email in a professional and courteous manner.
View every client contact as an opportunity to give our clients another reason to keep their insurance with us. Review exposures, loss experience, and current coverage. Provide proactive solutions and recommend appropriate products.
Follow department protocol for taking the next call in the queue, return calls promptly, and set clear expectations with the client.
Document all communication with clients and carriers in a prompt manner. Records must reflect the most current status at all times.
Look for new sales opportunities by cross selling and upselling coverage.
Develop a strong working knowledge of our carrier websites and utilize the sites to secure accurate and timely information for our clients. Strive to resolve all inquiries on the first phone call.
Deliver complete and accurate account reviews according to procedures.
Remarket accounts according to agency guidelines. Confirm that the client’s current program is the best option and if warranted, provide other options to the client.
Assume ownership of customer concerns and feedback until the resolution is successfully accomplished. Utilize good judgment. Escalate problems to management as needed.
Comply with all internal procedures and practices while demonstrating the ability to meet service performance and quality standards.
Work as a team with your co-workers, producers, and department managers.
Contribute to the team effort by openly sharing insurance knowledge with other employees.
Take on additional responsibilities. Manage projects as directed by supervisors and managers.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

Attained or in pursuit of a broker’s license in state hired.

Pay Details:

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Account Manager-Personal Lines has a primary responsibility for providing superior customer service to clients and carriers. Our first objective is to retain existing clients.

Field and respond promptly to client inquiries via phone, mail, and email in a professional and courteous manner.
View every client contact as an opportunity to give our clients another reason to keep their insurance with us. Review exposures, loss experience, and current coverage. Provide proactive solutions and recommend appropriate products.
Follow department protocol for taking the next call in the queue, return calls promptly, and set clear expectations with the client.
Document all communication with clients and carriers in a prompt manner. Records must reflect the most current status at all times.
Look for new sales opportunities by cross selling and upselling coverage.
Develop a strong working knowledge of our carrier websites and utilize the sites to secure accurate and timely information for our clients. Strive to resolve all inquiries on the first phone call.
Deliver complete and accurate account reviews according to procedures.
Remarket accounts according to agency guidelines. Confirm that the client’s current program is the best option and if warranted, provide other options to the client.
Assume ownership of customer concerns and feedback until the resolution is successfully accomplished. Utilize good judgment. Escalate problems to management as needed.
Comply with all internal procedures and practices while demonstrating the ability to meet service performance and quality standards.
Work as a team with your co-workers, producers, and department managers.
Contribute to the team effort by openly sharing insurance knowledge with other employees.
Take on additional responsibilities. Manage projects as directed by supervisors and managers.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

Attained or in pursuit of a broker’s license in state hired.

Your day as a Private Client Service Advisor

Administrative

Prints correspondence as needed and maintains electronic files (EPIC) to ensure that they are organized and up to date.
Process cover notes/binders, invoices, renewal and endorsement letters, memos, and other documentation as required.

Processes incoming mail and directs to the appropriate person on the Team.

Client/Insurer

Provide exceptional client service for residential clients

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Develops and implements the Personal Lines underwriting strategic plan across assigned personal lines products within multiple customer segments. Ensures alignment with performance objectives and financial targets. Provides leadership and direction on key decisions that impact key outcomes and financial performance.
Analyzes underwriting data and trends to identify areas for improvement in risk selection and pricing. Adjusts underwriting guidelines, new and ongoing maintenance and changes in response to market conditions and regulatory requirements
Partners with Product, Business Insights and Risk Management to determine underwriting appetite and strategically align underwriting tools and processes to appropriately balance profit and growth, mix, and geographic footprint. Identifies strategic issues and leads nimble underwriting response to emerging issues including profitability challenges, economic conditions, and competitor actions.
Leads a staff underwriting team that supports underwriters in risk assessment by evolving underwriting capabilities, process improvements, rules, models and automation. Ensures advancement of analytics and capabilities to efficiently serve our distribution partners and support profitable growth, while optimizing underwriting expense and Underwriting portfolio analytics.
Identifies and develops strategic technological enhancements to improve personal lines underwriting. Manages the portfolio of maintenance and new build work and identifies and implements new tools and vendors to advance capabilities, including fraud prevention. Responsible for overall Survey & Underwriting budget and oversight of new and existing contracts including terms, conditions and pricing.
Maintains relationships between home office and field underwriting units. Ensures awareness of and adherence to underwriting guidelines and standards.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate degree or post graduate studies in Business, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent experience preferred.

License/Certification/Designation: Product related technical insurance course work (CPCU, CPU, FCAS) preferred.

Experience: 10+ years of Product Management or Underwriting Personal Lines experience.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Extensive knowledge of underwriting practices, field underwriting operations and day-to-day underwriting operational needs. Ability to demonstrate strategic agility and vision management. Capable of demonstrating an executive presence, communication, and command. Ability to exercise independent judgement and effectively make sound business decisions in day-to-day operations where there may be unclear or competing priorities, including evaluating and recommending solutions to customer service issues, work processing issues, underwriting selection and rating problems, and compliance. Strong analytical skills and drive for results. Ability to creatively resolve unique and challenging business problems. Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, influence, people leadership, engagement, and development skills.

Summary

Provides technical support to department personnel in processing personal lines insurance policies. Such serving will include verbal and written communication internally with staff and externally with current clients and other office support activities.

50% Client/Policy Services

Provides daily support to Client Advisors and personal line accounts. Completing applications for new business policies and renewals.
Sending applications to companies. Checks all lines of personal insurance for accuracy and rates for new and renewal business.

As our Senior Account Executive on the Personal Lines team, you’ll be responsible for the following:

The primary function of this position is to provide the highest quality service to customers, sell new lines of coverage and cross sell within the existing book of business. The Senior Account Executive (SAE) will be the day-to-day liaison between the insurance company (MIB) and designated accounts. The SAE will manage and control the relationships with his/her clients (business managers and/or individual customers). .

Daily servicing of customers will include addressing various coverage issues, contract analysis, exposure analysis, handle and/or direct all the inside service work associated with the clients’ accounts, including all endorsement activity, routine coverage questions, problem solving, renewal control, preparation of formal proposals, checking and binding policies.

SAE should have experience in all areas of Personal Lines insurance. The SAE will inform the Producer on strategic account issues, claims and other potential problems. The SAE is responsible for overseeing all processes related to renewals, account management and new business development as well as insuring Standard Operating Guidelines (SOG’s) are used and followed for all insurance transactions.

Reporting to the Team Leader and head of existing business, the successful Personal Lines Account Executive will primarily focus on managing policy renewals, ensuring client retention and satisfaction by providing tailored insurance solutions.

Additionally, they will identify and secure new business opportunities when available to expand the client base. This role requires strong relationship management, negotiation, and sales skills to optimise client portfolios and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term loyalty.

Oversee the renewal process for personal lines insurance policies, including reviewing terms, negotiating renewals, and ensuring timely completion.

Evaluate clients' risk profiles and provide expert advice on suitable insurance products and coverage options.

Provide exceptional service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.

Ensure New Business/Renewal targets are achieved.

Implement Company’s Compliance and office procedures including New Business Development and Renewal Procedures document.

Ensure that you are up-to-date with market practice and product availability, giving feedback to Management in relation to market issues, including pricing, service levels and product development.

Where required, work with other teams within the Group to facilitate training, product development and to promote operational efficiencies.

Attend client visits with Management as required.

Adhere to Compliance as outlined in Handbook and Procedures Manual.

About You:

Minimum APA Personal Lines or Grandfathered with proof of up-to-date CPD.

Excellent technical product knowledge and knowledge of personal lines insurance market.

Proven track record of managing a portfolio of clients, particularly handling policy renewals and addressing client inquiries.

Proficient in negotiating terms and conditions to achieve favorable outcomes for both clients and the company.

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
