Job Description

To work closely alongside the Brand Insights Manager to further support the wider Williams Commercial & Marketing department through with brand + fan insights. As part of the Commercial team, the role will provide key insight to aid partner identification and retention, and also work cross-functionally with the wider Marketing function including Brand, Content, Merchandising & Licensing, and Communications.

Main Duties:

Consumer/Fan Insights

Become a key point of contact with Commercial and Marketing teams for consumer and fan insights, leveraging audience tools including Global Web Index (GWI), F1 Fan Voice, Nielsen & Sprout Social.

Analyse and maintain an up to date understanding of the Formula 1 and Williams fanbase across all major touchpoints and wider consumer trends and behaviours.

Using tools and other market intelligence, work with Commercial teams to align insights to prospective partners as part of the partner identification and development process.

Contribute to internal reporting on the latest key trends and findings to the Williams Commercial & Marketing Group and Senior Leadership such as leading post Grand Prix coverage reports.

As part of the team’s Business Intelligence, assist in the creation + maintenance of dashboards and data visualisations to track Marketing OKRs and business performance.

Brand Tracking & Fan Research

Support with on going brand + fan tracking of Williams and the F1 landscape.

Working closely with suppliers and using established Brand Marketing practices, support with the ongoing tracking of the Williams Brand among the Formula 1 Fanbase and against competitors.

Key Accountabilities

Business Partnering

Act as the primary contact for insight within the Operations function, building strong relationships and providing high-quality, trusted support.
Work closely with stakeholders across Operations and Belron Group to align insight to strategic goals and operational priorities.
Collaborate with multiple teams to understand business context and ensure insight meets real-world needs.

Insight Generation

Use data to provide deep, actionable insight into key business questions and initiatives, supporting informed decision-making.
Analyse large, complex datasets across multiple systems to identify performance opportunities and root causes.
Present insight with narrative and clarity, bringing data to life for non-technical stakeholders.
Proactively identify trends, patterns and opportunities to support continuous improvement.

Performance & KPI Impact

Support operational performance by developing Power BI dashboards and reports focused on key metrics and the levers that influence them.
Monitor and improve business performance through timely and relevant insight that supports decision-making.
Support the delivery of operational goals by ensuring insight is accessible, relevant and actionable.

Reporting Excellence & Data Integrity

Ensure accuracy and consistency across all regular and ad hoc reports, documenting any improvements or changes.
Champion ‘one version of the truth’ by aligning with the broader data strategy and maintaining control of data sources.
Work closely with the Data Engineering team to ensure data foundations are robust and sustainable.
Support the delivery of the wider data strategy by ensuring insight is built on consistent, trusted data — reinforcing the connection between data, reporting and business decision-making.

Insight-Led Projects & Strategic Support

Lead on specific insight initiatives and projects that enable operational improvement and transformation.
Deliver analysis and insight to agreed timelines, aligned to business needs and priorities.
Contribute to business forums and performance reviews by providing clear, focused analysis aligned to key challenges and opportunities.

Skills / Experience

Demonstrable experience in an insight partnering role, ideally within a complex, operational environment
Strong track record of using insight to influence decisions, shape performance conversations, and drive measurable business improvement
Proficient in translating technical or data-led challenges into clear, actionable insight and solutions that meet business needs
Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills, confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels to share insight and support action
Logical, pragmatic and commercially focused, with the ability to apply creative thinking to solve business challenges
Strong planning and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Excel and Power BI, with experience using SQL and Snowflake to work with large datasets and ensure insight is built on robust, trusted data

Overview

Generate data-driven insights and leads client’s thinking in how to action/profit from those insights. The Analyst will be responsible for providing actionable analysis of internal and external data sources for our key national customers and be deeply involved in the sales planning process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conducts a broad range of strategic business planning including, but not limited to, category management, space management, product evaluation, promotion planning and evaluation, trade funds evaluation, and resource allocation.
Analyze retailing and shopper/consumer behaviors, including building insights and data driven strategies, leveraging macro-economic, consumer, and retail insights leading clear implications and recommendations.
Identify, measure, and quantify our brands and competitors’ trends and opportunities. Includes creating and maintaining weekly/monthly reporting vehicles.
Enhances business operations through development of consultative insights and presentations directed towards generating increased sales.
Manages the use and application of syndicated and non-syndicated data resources.
Strategically leverage analytical insights to further growth of category & identify merchandising growth opportunities.
Understands CROSSMARK capabilities/processes and able to recommend insights-based actions that generate incremental revenue for CROSSMARK.
Develops and shares best practices (templates/analyses/methodologies)
Be recognized internally and externally as a thought leader in category management insights and trends.
Coordinate efforts with field Insights team to manage the completion of national client presentations and analyses.
Analyze & present post-promotion analysis, quantifying impact to brand and category.
