Position Summary

The School of Art and Art History at the University of Denver invites applications for one-academic year, Visiting Teaching Assistant Professor, (VTAP) one-half (50%) position in Foundations, beginning September 2025, through June 2026.

We are seeking a dynamic exhibiting artist/teacher with an ability to teach spatial thinking, the fundamentals of structure and construction, and the formal language of three dimensional forms at a foundational level. The 3D Foundations curriculum covers a variety of materials, additive and subtractive methods, basic mold making, and hand tools. Emphasis is placed on subjectivity, artistic choice and craft, alongside the beginnings of content and conceptual development.

Essential Functions

Teach four (4) 3D Approaches courses in-person, on-campus over 3 academic quarters (fall, winter, spring)

Scholarly expertise in the creation of three-dimensional artwork.
Excellent undergraduate teaching skills with the ability to teach courses at the foundations level.
Ability to interact constructively with all populations of faculty, staff, and students.

MFA in Sculpture or related field by the time of appointment.

The Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) in the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking a faculty member with a research program centered on developing a functional precision oncology program that moves discoveries to the bedside. The ideal candidate will use organoid-based or other rapid turnaround screens to generate uniquely valuable, clinically actionable data on meaningful timelines and who are excited to see those results drive real decisions in cancer care alongside efforts to uncover and develop more effective therapies.

The DBMI and CU Anschutz environments are ideally built for translation of work in this space through its strong connections to the University of Colorado Cancer Center, Colorado Center for Personalized Medicine, and other campus units focused on translation of data to practice. The ideal candidate will seek to lead prospective studies that close the loop from screening to care, mentor trainees at the bench-informatics interface, and help establish resources that enrich the campus environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and lead an independent research program with extramural support.

· Develop screening platforms and methodologies that enable data-driven decision making on clinically meaningful time scales.

· Collaborate with DBMI faculty and others within the discipline to combine screening with informatics approaches to advance the practice of personalized medicine.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The position will focus on the study of inequality and segregation at the urban and regional levels, with a special emphasis on the empirical assessment of the causal effects of policy measures using quantitative methods. The selected candidate is expected to build and lead an active interaction with decision-makers in urban policies and representatives of other stakeholders, and enhance a multifaceted promotion of the societal impact of research. The position is based at the Social and Public Policy discipline.

Successful performance requires a strong commitment to interdisciplinarity, close cooperation with domestic and international actors specializing in urban, regional and inequality research, and active participation in obtaining external research funding. The position includes teaching in the Bachelor's and Master's programmes in social sciences and the Master's programme in urban studies and planning, as well as supervision of theses and doctoral dissertations.

QUALIFICATIONS

An appointee to the position of assistant/associate professor in the tenure track system shall hold a doctoral degree and have the ability to conduct independent scholarly work as well as the teaching skills required for the position. In addition, the appointee shall have the ability and motivation to pursue an academic career, as demonstrated by publications and other means.

When assessing the applicants’ qualifications, attention shall be paid not only to research work and teaching qualifications, but also to success in the acquisition of external research funding as well as international scholarly work and other international experience.

An appointee to the position of professor shall hold a doctoral degree and have high-level academic qualifications, experience in leading scientific research, the ability to provide research-based teaching and supervise dissertations and theses as well as evidence of international cooperation in the research field they represent. The appointee shall also have academic leadership skills.

When considering the applicant’s qualifications, attention shall be given to scientific publications and other research results of scientific value, teaching experience and pedagogical training, the ability to produce teaching material, other teaching merits and, if necessary, a demonstration of teaching skills as well as the applicant’s participation in doctoral education. Account shall also be taken of the applicants’ activity in the scientific community, success in obtaining external research funding, international research experience and international elected positions as well as leadership and interaction skills. The doctoral degree requirement must be met by the end of the application deadline.

To successfully attend to the duties of the position, the appointee must have good English skills. The College will soon offer a Master of Science in One Health degree and DPPM faculty are participating in the development of this program.

The DPPM is home to 53 faculty, 9 staff, 11 residents, 4 interns, and 9 graduate students engaged in teaching, research, and service activities. There are both clinical-track and tenure-track faculty in the department, and they work in Starkville or at other facilities within the state. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Department Head is responsible for leading faculty and staff in the planning, development, and implementation of the DPPM strategic plan, through management of departmental resources, direction of faculty searches, and mentoring and evaluating departmental faculty and staff. The Department Head meets annually with each faculty member to conduct their evaluation and meets monthly with new faculty members for their first six months. A faculty mentoring program also exists and is operated at the college level. Teaching and research components of faculty work are managed and evaluated by department heads, while hospital and laboratory directors manage and evaluate clinical or diagnostic laboratory service. The Department Head serves on the CVM Leadership Team that meets weekly. The Department Head must be committed to collaborative and transparent leadership, promoting community and creating a positive work environment for all departmental personnel. Recruitment and retention of excellent faculty and staff is a priority.

Minimum Qualifications:

A DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree from a recognized college of veterinary medicine is required and the selected candidate must have the experience and credentials necessary for them to be appointed at the academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor. Administrative experience managing and evaluating people in an academic setting is preferred. Demonstrated commitment to fostering career development of early-career faculty, residents, interns, and graduate students is desired. A PhD in a relevant field and board certification in a veterinary specialty are preferred qualifications. Experience in pathobiology, population medicine, or a large animal field is preferred, but not required.

The College of Arts and Law is recruiting a FTC 0.6 FTE, Student Experience Officer for the School of Languages, Cultures, Art History and Music. This is an exciting opportunity to take on an established role (due to maternity cover) and join a dynamic, research-led, professional services Student Support Team. This team comprises Student Wellbeing, Student Experience and the Academic Writing Advisory Service. Reporting to the Student Support Manager – Student Experience and working closely with the School Head of Operations and School Head of Education. the Student Experience Officer (SEO) will devise and deliver a wide range of student experience activities that meet School and College strategic objectives to improve the student experience of diverse cohorts of students studying a range of Languages, Cultures, Art History and Music programmes. They will identify opportunities for enhancement and review and evaluate College provision in this area and will work closely with other relevant areas such as the Central Student Experience Projects Team and Careers Network. With EDI at the heart of all operations, these activities will sit against the strategic pillars of:

To review current College methods for communication with UG students and to establish best practices for future communication. This might include iVLE use, newsletters, and social media.
To contribute to University Open Days and recruitment activities in the College.

Department Summary

The Department of Family Medicine/ Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine is a multifaceted, interdisciplinary team of dedicated healthcare providers and researchers who are committed to providing excellence in clinical care, primary care education, and research. The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The incumbent will conduct applied entomology research and develop an Extension program related to insect pest management in ornamental crops, turfgrass and forages in Mississippi. In developing the Extension and applied research program, the incumbent will work with producers, homeowners, agribusinesses and other stakeholders as appropriate to identify techniques to effectively and efficiently manage insect pests while protecting plants, the environment, and profitability. As a result, the incumbent should have a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate research findings and troubleshoot problems with farmers, homeowners, and Extension personnel. The Extension program should include competency/in-service training for Extension agents; development and publication of appropriate Extension materials such as publications and instructional videos or other appropriate digital and social media; technical assistance for Extension agents, farmers, homeowners, and other stakeholders; and other appropriate Extension delivery methods. Furthermore, the incumbent will demonstrate and present information and updates through effective program delivery by planning and participating in local, state, regional, and national professional and stakeholder meetings.
The incumbent will collaborate with colleagues in grant and contract proposals seeking funding to support applied research and Extension efforts.
Research is expected to include evaluating damage thresholds, evaluating new and existing insecticides, studying host plant resistance, and developing other IPM-related strategies. The incumbent will cooperate with other scientific disciplines represented at Mississippi State University and USDA-ARS, as well as other groups when appropriate to develop and improve IPM programs in ornamental crops and turf, and forages.
Publishing findings in appropriate professional journals is expected. The incumbent will be encouraged to participate in graduate student training and contribute to collaborative teaching in off-campus and campus-based educational programs in entomology and pest management, whether formal or non formal. The successful candidate will actively participate in professional societies and organizations as well as appropriate MSU committees and commodity groups. These activities should include involvement in coordinating entomology and IPM research goals and objectives through collaborative efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Ph.D. in entomology or a closely related field from an accredited institution of higher learning.
Individuals who are ABD (all but dissertation) will be considered. Acceptable candidate must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills and experience in insect pest management.

The position is a 9-month appointment and is predominantly located at the School of Nursing Building, Prisma Health Upstate campus, Greenville, SC. Occasional responsibilities will also occur on the main campus of Clemson University, in Clemson, SC.

The ideal candidate will be an emerging expert, with a program of research related to obstetrics/women’s health or other related health. The candidate should possess a record of funded research, peer-reviewed publications, other scholarly activities, and graduate student supervision.

Teaching responsibilities may occur at the undergraduate or graduate level with expected mentoring of Departmental Honors, DNP, and/or PhD students. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teaching: Develop and deliver relevant course material consistent with teaching at an R1 University. Preparation consistent with teaching graduate and undergraduate students. Requirements include undergraduate instruction in the accelerated summer program. Additional duties may include instruction/leadership in the clinical and/or simulation laboratory settings for graduate or undergraduate students.

• Research and Scholarship: Lead research initiatives among nursing faculty and students, healthcare partners, and other departments within the university.

• Service: Serve on University, College and School committees as elected. Provide a national and or international presence in relevant professional organizations that advance the field of nursing.

• Mentorship of students, including service on PhD, DNP, Master and/or undergraduate research committees.

• Engagement: Participate in activities related to the advancement of the mission, vision, and goals for the School of Nursing

Clinical

The Generalist division provides both inpatient and outpatient care to high-risk patients at OHSU and relatively low-risk, community practice patients at Hillsboro Medical Center, an affiliated facility located 30 minutes west of OHSU, ensuring an ideal patient mix. While all faculty are required to maintain privileges at both sites, Generalists will primarily be assigned to one location. Education

This position involves providing clinical education to residents and medical students during their Obstetrics and Gynecology rotations. The Assistant Professor may also assist with the clinical training of nurse and APP trainees. As part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for educating learners in the outpatient clinic environment, the Assistant Professor will provide both formal and informal feedback and evaluation to learners working in obstetrics and gynecology.

As an OHSU faculty member, the Assistant Professor will participate in division and department faculty meetings and serve on OHSU committees as required. The Division of Infectious Diseases provides clinical care to pediatric patients within Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, a 151 bed hospital-within-a-hospital associated with OHSU, and a member of NACHRI, as well as Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Outpatient Clinics. The Division of Infectious Diseases is a motivated vibrant team of faulty focused on scholarship, research, and advocacy as well as providing the best teaching and clinical care to their chosen area.

The duties of this position include:

This position will provide patient care as a consultant to other inpatient services, as well as an outpatient clinic and will assume an appropriate share of both night and weekend on-call service. The division of pediatric infectious diseases provides educational endeavors for medical students, residents and clinical care teams within the hospital. Division members may also participate in translational research and clinical trials. While this faculty member will provide a full range of pediatric clinical services related to infectious disease.

Job Summary:

Department of Pediatrics, Section of Nutrition has an opening for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Assistant Professor position. The Department is seeking an early researcher to further expand and complement its program of extramurally funded basic, translational, clinical, and outcomes research in the field of the World Health Organization designated spectrum of nutrition – from undernutrition, micronutrient deficiency to overnutrition/obesity and related conditions and comorbidities e.g., cardiovascular disease, preventive medicine across the entire life course.

This position is full-time (40h/week) appointment at Assistant Professor. This position is a tenure-track eligible, regular series faculty position. Duties will include independent research, teaching, scholarly activities, and service responsibilities.

Established in 1993, the CU School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics Section of Nutrition was the first independent program dedicated to addressing and promoting best practices for nutrition and physical activity with a focus on disease, health and well-being for infants and children.

Through clinical services, research, education, community outreach and advocacy, the section offers a wealth of expertise in obesity, undernutrition and micronutrient deficiencies. Areas of emphasis include micronutrients, precision nutrition, developmental origins of adult disease, early infant feeding, epigenetics and global health. The Section of Nutrition has a strong commitment to research and education. In 2024, the section had over $24 million in research funding; and their nutrition training programs include the nation’s longest-serving NIH-funded T32 program.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, perform, and analyze research related to the overall mission of an extramurally funded research program.
Conduct public health outcomes and translational research in the field of nutrition (undernutrition, micronutrient deficiency, overnutrition/obesity), and related conditions and comorbidities e.g., type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and preventive medicine across the entire life course.
Collaborate with faculty to develop educational programs in Nutrition – Certification and Masters in Nutrition
In collaboration with Section of Nutrition, the Department of Pediatrics (DOP), NORC, Colorado School of Public Health (CSPH) and CHCO faculty members facilitate the development of multidisciplinary collaborations in these areas.
Establish an independent program of extramurally funded research and contribute scholarly work in the form of original publications, manuscripts, and presentations.
Provide mentorship and research supervision to graduate and postdoctoral trainees, including those on the T32 Nutrition Training Grant and Clinical Nutrition Fellowship
Provide thought and recognized leadership to emerging national approaches to understanding contributors to nutrition, epidemics of metabolic and cardiovascular diseases in diverse populations.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

PhD or MD/PHD or research-intensive MD with focused area of emphasis in field of nutrition (undernutrition, micronutrient deficiency, overnutrition/obesity), and related conditions across the life course.
Demonstrated 2-3 years of progressive basic, translational, clinical, and/or outcomes research experience with an emerging track record of grant funding- Federal agencies preferred

Condition of Employment:

Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado
Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications:

Current research funding transferable to CU
Experience and expertise in micronutrients, precision nutrition, nutrition science, developmental origins of adult disease, early infant feeding, and epigenetics
Proficiency in study designs, ability to create and present the hypothesis.
Demonstrable evidence in the ability to develop hypothesis driven research in basic, translational, clinical and/or outcomes sciences.
Experience in the design and execution of epidemiologic research, including advanced statistical analysis, and in publishing research results.
Demonstrated commitment and ability to advance research and promote engagement.
Excellent teaching skills and track record of successfully mentoring medical, fellow, graduate and post graduate trainees

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated research experience in the determinants of field of nutrition (undernutrition, micronutrient deficiency, overnutrition/obesity), and related conditions.
Demonstrated ability to train researcher team members and trainees in research design and techniques related to specific area of scientific emphasis.
Ability to obtain peer-reviewed extramural funding.
Emerging experience with national and international research networks.
Emerging experience with leadership at local levels.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
