Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work. Perform advanced troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. Display the ability to train and mentor other engineers as necessary. Due to the continued growth of King and Moffatt Building Services, we are now looking to hire a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to provide maintenance support on a number of our existing projects across the central belt region of Ireland.

Job Description:

Responsible for completing a range of Planned Preventive Maintenance Tasks and Inspections on hot and cold water systems Heating systems Air Handling Units (AHU), Fan Coil Units (FCU) Ventilation and mechanical plant.
Diagnose and repair faults in plumbing and mechanical systems
Carry out minor installations, shutdowns, and quoted works.
Ensure we maintain effective communication with the clients site engineering team.
Produce weekly reports for the FM supervisor detailing site activities and plans.
Maintain Mechanical plant services to industry standards.
Schedule subcontractor visits and ensure adherence to client security protocols.
Ensure statutory engineering maintenance documentation is maintained and accessible.
Oversee completion of PPMs and Client Service Requests in line with SLA’s.
Ensure compliance with audit requirements and review site SOPs, ERA’s, and scenario training.
Adhere to King & Moffatt QHSE procedures and implement improvements identified during inspections.

We’re looking for an experienced and dependable Plumber to join our expanding team, supporting a busy responsive repairs contract in Exeter, This is a practical, hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of plumbing repairs and maintenance tasks in occupied social housing properties.

Duties:

Carry out responsive plumbing repairs in occupied properties
Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, and drainage issues
Replace taps, toilets, cisterns, basins, and other sanitary ware
Repair or replace pipework, valves, and fittings
Investigate and resolve issues with hot water systems and radiators
Ensure all work complies with current plumbing regulations and health and safety standards
Record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets

What You’ll Contribute

In this role, you can expect to:

• Serve as the subject matter expert at your branch for all plumbing-related operations
• Balance your schedule with both office (~30%) and field work (~70%)

About The Team:

Community Works is Lambeth’s in-house repairs team, delivering high quality communal and estate-based repairs across the borough. Our operatives work closely with supervisors, surveyors, and schedulers to provide a responsive and efficient service for our residents. The plumbing team focuses on repairs and maintenance to communal and estate-based plumbing systems; while also carrying out related tasks associated with plumbing, such as minor brickwork or groundwork where required to complete the job.

About The Role:

As a Plumber within Community Works, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of plumbing repairs and installations, as well as undertaking minor groundwork and bricklaying tasks where required. You will work across communal areas and estates, delivering work to a high standard, on time, and in line with health and safety requirements. Your flexibility to take on multiple trade tasks will help reduce reliance on contractors and ensure residents receive a seamless service.

To be considered for interview, your CV and supporting statement will clearly evidence:

Proven experience in plumbing repairs and maintenance, ideally within a housing or public sector environment.
Experience in minor groundwork and bricklaying tasks (desirable).
Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards and safe working practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality repairs.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Ideally, you will hold an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in plumbing; however, applicants with significant relevant experience will also be considered.
