The UMLY School of Dance is seeking an experienced Dance & Tumbling Instructor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in multiple dance genres (ballet, jazz, contemporary, or related forms), coupled with specialized training in tumbling and movement development for children. This position requires a professional who understands how children learn movement skills, can foster a safe and supportive environment, and is committed to helping students develop confidence, creativity, and strong technique.

What You’Ll Do

Teach engaging and developmentally appropriate dance and tumbling classes to children ages 3–12.
Design lesson plans that balance skill progression, safety, and creativity while reinforcing foundational dance and tumbling technique.
Incorporate child development principles into instruction to ensure classes support physical, social, and emotional growth.
Maintain a positive, encouraging classroom environment that motivates students and builds confidence.
Collaborate with the School of Dance team to align curriculum, participate in performances, and support studio events.
Model professionalism, punctuality, and a strong commitment to student success.

Qualifications

What You'Ll Need

Minimum of 3–5 years teaching experience in both dance and tumbling/gymnastics.
Demonstrated background in formal dance training.
Strong understanding of movement training for children, including safe spotting techniques and progressive skill-building
Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with students and families.
