The Account Manager is responsible for working with Advisors and Account Executives to service client accounts. The position requires day to day client servicing for a specific set of clients and entails a great deal of verbal, electronic and other written communications. The Account Manager will manage the renewal and marketing process, and prepare materials for presentations and communications, in collaboration with their more senior team members. At this level, an Account Manager will lead open enrollment presentations and may take an active role in client meetings. Work is completed with a significant amount of independent discretion. While in this role, this person should be developing relationships with clients and carrier contacts and working proactively to effectively and efficiently deliver services to clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Works proactively to develop relationships with carrier and client contacts; may take active role in meetings.
Communicates directly with clients and carriers with collaboration with senior team members.
Prepare and send the request for proposals to applicable insurance carriers and spreadsheets results as they come in. First draft of renewal presentation.
Takes the lead on reviewing contracts, benefit plan summaries, and carrier source documents for accuracy in collaboration with the Account Executive or Advisor.
May serve as a mentor to more junior team members; assists with training more junior team members
Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with clients. Takes more of an active role in client meetings and calls.
May have direct contact with clients and relies on a growing knowledge of the details of various insurance coverages
Continues relationships with carrier representatives to better understand available products and services in the marketplace and recommend them to clients
Work with advisors or more senior team members to identify the strategies to meet client needs
Review & analyze request for proposals and insurance plan designs, negotiate with carriers and recommend renewal actions in drafts of presentations to be reviewed by Account Executives
Assist with client renewals and marketing and client meeting presentations; responsible for first draft of presentations
Update benefit guides, ensure client resources and communications are up to date following open enrollment or coverage change
Prepare document and data for annual client compliance audits to be presented by Account Executive
Attend to client requests including product or vendor service or performance challenges
Ensure 5500 form is filed and completed in a timely manner
Assembles updates for clients regarding appropriate industry trends and events, including all state and federal regulatory issues in conjunction with Account Executives or Advisors
Learns about alternative funding strategies.
General client service support in conjunction with the account management team
Participate in client projects such as implementation of new business, open enrollment process, non-discrimination testing, etc.
May provide informal leadership to more junior team members, based on experience, without official supervisory responsibility.
Performs other duties as assigned and consistently makes independent judgments subject to general supervisor support.

What We Offer

The base salary range for this position is $55,000 – $105,000. Qualifications

TECHNICAL FUNCTIONS

The Requirements

7+ years of relevant health and welfare legal and regulatory experience at a legal, accounting or consulting firm, or in a corporate legal department
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and active membership in a state bar association
Substantial knowledge of ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, COBRA, HIPAA, the Affordable Care Act, Mental Health Parity, and other federal and state healthcare-related statutes
Substantial knowledge of the design and ongoing administration needs of health and welfare plans
Understanding of the fiduciary health plan litigation landscape, emerging litigation trends, and governance structure and best practices
Ability to analyze complex legal and regulatory developments, understand the impact on employers' health and welfare plan strategy, and effectively communicate key implications and insights to non-lawyer clients and colleagues

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $200,000-$240,000 USD per year.

Your Impact (What You Will Do):

Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales objectives, including monthly, quarterly, and annual booking targets, by executing the full Beam sales process

Your Experience:

The role of the Analyst is to provide internal and external clients with timely, accurate analytics, proactive consultation, and decision support information related to pharmacy benefits. Pharmacy benefit consulting is a core GBS service offering, and this position is instrumental to the success and focus of our mission to deliver unparalleled advice and service to our clients. Duties & Responsibilities

· Manages data, prepares and peer reviews reports, performs ad-hoc analysis, and provides assistance with rate decisions.

· Review and present pharmacy analytics deliverables in client facing meetings (in person and/or virtual)

· Possesses/acquires knowledge of the local healthcare marketplace, carriers, TPAs, PBMs.

· Provide analytics and organizational support for pharmacy benefit procurement and market check RFPS-leading all steps of the process from data collection to analysis to final project deliverables.

· Understands and utilizes company specific software systems.

· Support GBS Pharmacy strategic and service initiatives- to include interactions with plan sponsor representatives and plan members.

· Assists with team projects and initiatives.

· Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree preferred in a data-related field – such as actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, or computer science.

· Strong ability to leverage industry knowledge, analytical thinking, and technical data skills to analyze data and respond to client questions

· Experience with a PC and proficiency in MS Excel is required

· Expert ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with decision makers within the company, external clients, and peers

· Strong relationship building skills, including the capacity to leverage cross-functional partnerships within and outside of the organization

· Expert ability to work under demanding time constraints and expectations

· Expert ability to work in a team setting and learn new skills quickly

· Experience developing creative solutions in response to changing healthcare landscape

· Proficient in prioritizing and handling multiple tasks throughout the day

What you'll do: Responsibilities

What you can expect on a typical day:

Implement ADP Technologies. You will review Insurance documents to build group benefit portals and conduct a training/welcome call with new clients for successful onboarding.
Onboard Clients.You'll help clients develop the skills and confidence to use our insurance product with ease through your expertise, test plan, and relationship-building. To deliver a comprehensive solution, you will consult with clients and analyze existing systems, interface requirements, and business processes.
You will provide consultation and help answer non-technical questions supporting less-experienced specialists on the team. You'll also lead workflows and determine procedures for the group as appropriate.

You will mentor and lead less-experienced specialists on the team. You will learn and navigate ADP systems to resolve issues.

Partner Internally. You will interact/collaborate with ADP associates in sales and client service. You will exchange routine information with members of the client project team, including priorities, timeliness, and issues as they arise. 
Multi-Task & Communicate. You will work on multiple time-sensitive follow-ups/projects at the same time. You will share essential information with clients and internally.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements

Must have or receive a Life & Health insurance producer license, maintain all required insurance licenses, and complete required appropriate continuing education courses.

3+ years of previous experience

A day in the life.

As our Client Account Executive on the employee benefits team you'll support Producer by providing high level expertise, technical detail, and client service to clients and account teams. Be knowledgeable of coverages, carrier guidelines, underwriting, legislative changes, and maintain relationships with clients and carrier representatives. Exercise independent decisions relating to client analysis of coverage, recommending coverage needs, and suggesting new lines of coverage for existing clients, as appropriate. Develop strong relationships with carriers and market accounts as requested by Producer and be primarily responsible for marketing smaller and/or less complex accounts.
