VIKOR is currently seeking motivated and dependable individuals to join our team as a full-time Apprentice Electrician, based out of our Sioux Falls office. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience while working on communications sites throughout the Upper Midwest and Mountain Region.

Because of the nature of the work at VIKOR, we are dedicated to and obsessed with safety. That means all of our employees are, too. If you join the VIKOR team, you will be expected to follow all the safety and regulatory policies and procedures put in place by VIKOR and OSHA in order for all team members to feel confident and protected during the workday. This includes attending the daily safety meetings, maintaining a clean driving record and frequently inspecting trucks and equipment.

Requirements

 Responsibilities:

• Assist with installation and upgrades of AC power at tower sites
• Support MV/HV terminations under supervision
• Assist with generator and transfer switch installations
• Perform tower and site wiring installations
• Assist with underground conduit installation
• Maintain tools, equipment, and job sites in a safe and organized manner
• Follow all VIKOR and OSHA safety policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving record check
• Ability to travel for 90%
• Electrical experience preferred
• Ability to obtain a CDL
• Able to pass drug test
• Lifts at least 75 pounds
• Works at various heights up to 300’ and climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, towers, catwalks and all types of ladders.
