To help us continue to grow our business, we’re searching for a Regional Sales Manager will drive sales growth and expand Kingspan Light + Air’s skylights presence across California. This role will initially focus primarily on the new construction segment while supporting reroof opportunities in close collaboration with two highly successful Regional Sales Managers already serving the territory. 

This is a high-impact, individual contributor role suited for a self-starter with a strong understanding of commercial construction and building materials. The successful candidate will enhance awareness of Kingspan’s skylight, smoke vent, and rooftop safety solutions; identify and develop project opportunities; and help secure project wins while strengthening Kingspan’s visibility and influence throughout the California market.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Territory & Market Development: 

  • Serve as a primary Kingspan Light + Air sales leader across California, with an initial emphasis on new construction opportunities. 
  • Expand market awareness of skylight, smoke vent, and rooftop safety solutions among contractors, architects, consultants, distributors, and building owners. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key regional decision-makers and influencers. 
  • Represent Kingspan at customer meetings, job site visits, and industry events. 

Sales Execution & Pipeline Management: 

  • Own individual sales targets for assigned accounts and opportunities, including revenue, margin, and conversion goals. 
  • Proactively identify, qualify, and advance project opportunities from early discovery through order conversion. 
  • Maintain an accurate and disciplined project pipeline, forecasting performance and reporting risks and opportunities to sales leadership. 

Collaboration & Channel Support: 

  • Work collaboratively with two existing Regional Sales Managers and the inside sales team to support reroof opportunities and ensure coordinated coverage across California. 
  • Maintain open, transparent communication with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment and avoid channel conflict. 

Customer & Project Support: 

  • Act as a trusted point of contact for assigned customers, supporting product selection, pricing coordination, lead times, and technical alignment. 
  • Coordinate closely with Inside Sales, Operations, and Product Management to support quotations, project follow-up, and successful handoffs. 
  • Ensure a smooth transition from opportunity development through order placement and fulfillment. 

CRM, Reporting & Market Feedback: 

  • Maintain accurate opportunity, account, and activity records within Salesforce CRM. 
  • Provide regular updates on pipeline health, competitive activity, and market trends. 
  • Share field insights with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to support continuous improvement and regional strategy. 

Professional Representation & Compliance: 

  • Represent Kingspan Light + Air professionally and consistently in all customer interactions. 
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and ethical business practices. 

 

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Minimum 5 years of sales or business development experience in commercial construction, roofing, or building materials. 
  • Based in California, with the ability to travel extensively (up to 75%), within both Northern and Southern California. 
  • Proven ability to build relationships, develop new business, and work collaboratively in a channel sales environment. 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities. 
  • Comfortable selling to or influencing contractors, architects, distributors, and building owners. 
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and a structured, process-driven approach to managing opportunities. 
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while aligning with broader sales and channel strategies.
