As Business Unit Automotive & Speciality Lamps we support our vision and strategy by expanding our leading position in the automotive lighting market in OEM and Aftermarket. We are in a global leadership position in the automotive lamps business in traditional and LED applications and offer industry leading products in LED lighting to global OEM customers (e.g. with exchangeable LED light sources). We also tackle new growth opportunities in the Aftermarket with our automotive care and equipment portfolio.

This manufacturing/process engineering opportunity encompasses a wide range of engineering disciplines. In this role you will be responsible for improving and maintaining new and existing high-speed automotive lamp manufacturing equipment and processes. The ideal candidate should be able to quickly solve complex technical problems with a high level of autonomy and creativity.
General tasks for this position would include:
- Drive continuous improvement projects, using lean and six sigma methodologies.
- Provide technical support to the automotive lighting manufacturing lines.
- Writing and maintaining work instructions, control plans, process flow, and process failure modes and effects analysis documents.
- Training manufacturing personnel as necessary on the use and maintenance of new equipment and processes.
- Assisting in de-bugging of new equipment and troubleshooting problems of existing equipment.
- Leading and coordinating activities with cross-functional teams to accomplish team goals.
- Communicate effectively with both hourly and salaried associates and maintain a strong production floor presence
Who we are looking for
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or manufacturing engineering
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred
- Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
- SPC Minitab software preferred
- High-level Excel programming
- Familiar with machine vision systems
