Company Description
The NextGen Video Producer is responsible for producing, coordinating, and supporting video projects for CCV’s NextGen ministries. This role oversees the full life cycle of video production while bringing a strong emphasis on set design, prop creation, and visual environments that enhance storytelling on screen.
Working closely with NXG Central teams (Kids, Students, STARS, Worship, Special Needs) and Production staff, this role helps translate creative vision into tangible, well-designed sets and props that support compelling, ministry-aligned video content. The ideal candidate blends creative problem-solving, hands-on build experience, and production coordination to deliver excellent, on-time projects.
Job Description
Essential Job Functions
- Oversee the full video production process, including pre-production planning, organization, timelines, and clear communication to ensure projects launch on time and at a high standard.
- Design, source, and build sets and props for video projects, creating visually engaging environments that support storytelling, teaching moments, and spiritual themes.
- Collaborate with filmmakers, ministry staff, and production teams to align creative vision, balance workloads, and ensure visual elements enhance the overall message.
- Lead scenic and prop planning for video shoots, including conceptual development, budgeting, fabrication, transport, setup, and strike.
- Develop and document best practices for video production, set design, and prop usage that ensure consistency, safety, and creative excellence across NextGen content.
- Project manage timelines and key milestones, proactively identifying risks, communicating changes, and ensuring accountability across teams.
- Continuously improve processes by identifying opportunities to simplify workflows, strengthen collaboration, and elevate production quality.
- Schedule and coordinate creative planning meetings, pre-production sessions, shoots, and ensure all logistical details—gear, sets, props, locations, and people—are fully prepared.
- Manage volunteers and contractors, scenic elements, fabrication, and related administrative needs such as purchase orders and invoices.

Experience
- 2+ years of production or scenic design experience, including set design, prop creation, or environmental design for video, film, live events, or ministry contexts.
- Strong ability to design, build, source, and dress sets and props, with an understanding of how physical environments translate effectively on camera.
- Working knowledge of video production and studio best practices, including pre-production planning, shoot-day workflows, and collaboration with filmmakers and production teams.
- Experience designing and coordinating service flow, programming, or visual environments that support the overall message, engage audiences, and align with the spiritual goals of ministry partners.
- Excellent grasp of project optimization, organization, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
- Familiarity with common project management practices and tools, including Monday Work Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, and collaborative communication platforms such as Slack.
- Working knowledge of ProPresenter and Planning Center, or the ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to recruit, mobilize, and empower volunteers and on-screen talent, fostering a collaborative, encouraging environment where people feel confident, valued, and equipped to contribute.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate creative ideas clearly across teams.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with creative, technical, and ministry partners, balancing creative excellence with logistical and spiritual priorities.
- Alignment with CCV’s mission and a passion for creating intentional environments and stories that help the next generation encounter God.
