Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives across a diverse group of manufacturing companies and internal departments. This role will be responsible for planning and executing ERP implementations (mainly Epicor), acquisition integrations and strategic operational projects spanning operations, finance, IT, and supply chain. This position is ideal for a project manager who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments, can manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, and is comfortable working across varying systems, stakeholders, and business priorities.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the full lifecycle of ERP and enterprise system projects, from initiation through go-live and post-implementation stabilization
- Manage multiple concurrent projects across manufacturing entities and internal departments
- Define and maintain project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource plans
- Coordinate ERP implementations, upgrades, integrations, and optimization initiatives
- Ensure business readiness, operational stability, and user adoption through go-live, Hypercare and post-implementation phases
Other Responsibilities:
- Lead project planning and execution for post-acquisition integrations
- Coordinate integration activities among key stakeholders, including operations, IT, HR, legal, and finance
- Track synergy initiatives, milestones, and dependencies
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and leadership
- Facilitate project meetings, executive updates, and status reporting
- Drive alignment across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies
- Manage change control, decision logs, and project documentation
- Support data migration, testing, training, and deployment activities
- Promote project governance standards, best practices, and continuous improvement
- Exercise sound judgment in complex, time-sensitive situations and escalate risks and decisions appropriately
- Contribute to other initiatives as needed, including process improvement efforts, system rollouts, and departmental projects
- Any responsibility outside of the Essential Functions. Other duties as assigned, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or other related field
- 5+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional projects in a corporate or industrial environment
- Proven experience leading ERP implementations (Epicor, Dynamics, or similar)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and/or operational business processes
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with cross-functional and remote teams
- Familiarity with standard project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
- MBA, or equivalent advanced degree
- Manufacturing industry experience
- Experience supporting multi-entity or enterprise-scale environments
- Experience supporting acquisition integration or large-scale organizational change
Physical Demands:
- The employee may be required to travel up to 25%, locally, nationally and potentially internationally. Travel may involve overnight stays, air travel, driving personal or rented vehicles.
