About the Role:

We’re seeking a Task Force Hotel Operations Manager to join our team and provide on-site leadership support across our portfolio. This role is designed for a results-driven hospitality professional who excels at stepping into new environments, quickly assessing operational needs, and leading teams to success.

The Task Force Hotel Operations Manager performs short- and long-term leadership assignments throughout our portfolio. You’ll ensure operational consistency, uphold brand standards, strengthen associate engagement, and deliver an outstanding guest experience at every property you support.

This is a hands-on role — our managers lead by example, working alongside their teams to drive results. The position requires 100% travel to Colwen Hotels within our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site leadership and operational support during task force assignments.
  • Oversee daily hotel operations in assigned departments to ensure consistent excellence.
  • Deliver strong, motivational leadership and foster a professional, inclusive, and engaging work environment.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing associate training and development.
  • Drive superior guest service and satisfaction by ensuring adherence to brand and Colwen standards.
  • Partner with hotel leadership on budgeting, financial performance, and cost control.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of Hotel Operations Manager experience
  • Proven success leading Front Office and/or Housekeeping teams
  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, or IHG brands preferred
  • Proficiency with Fosse, PEP, Hotel key or Opera systems
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in changing environments
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (100%) to support properties across multiple states
