Job Description

The Senior PMO Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance, and support of the Primavera P6 and Contruent project controls systems.

This role ensures reliable system performance, data integrity, security, and effective integration between scheduling and cost management platforms to support enterprise project delivery.

You will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and data accuracy, along with the ability to effectively administer and support complex project controls systems while managing multiple priorities across Primavera P6 and Contruent.

Day to day duties:

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Primavera P6 and Contruent project controls systems.
  • Manage system settings, global data, user roles, permissions, and security across both platforms.
  • Ensure data integrity, governance, and consistency between scheduling and cost management systems.
  • Support and maintain integrations between P6, Contruent, ERP, and other enterprise systems.
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve user-reported problems.
  • Plan, test, and support system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
  • Develop and enforce standards for scheduling, cost control, and system usage.
  • Provide technical support, training, and guidance to project controls and business users.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, procedures, and configuration guides.
  • Support reporting, analytics, and management information requirements.
  • Manage system access requests, onboarding/offboarding, and licence compliance.
  • Perform regular system audits, data validation, backups, and recovery checks.
  • Coordinate with IT, database administrators, and vendors on infrastructure and security matters.
  • Support schedule and cost data uploads, validations, and reconciliation processes.
  • Assist with system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment of new functionality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Oracle Primavera P6 certification.
  • Contruent system administration or power-user experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users.
  • Strong documentation, training and stakeholder support skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple systems and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience in construction, infrastructure, energy, or utilities.
  • Knowledge of system integrations, APIs, and automation.
  • Familiarity with cloud-hosted enterprise applications and cybersecurity practices.
  • 3-7+ years of experience administering Primavera P6
  • Experience administering or supporting Contruent or similar cost management/project controls systems.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, cost management, scheduling, and CPM principles.
  • Experience with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server Databases.
  • Proven experience with system configuration, user management, and troubleshooting.
