Quality Assurance Manager

Position Overview:The QA Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and food safety programs within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and internal standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across production operations.Key Responsibilities:Lead, develop, and manage QA programs including HACCP, GMPs, SQF/FSMA compliance, and internal audit processesImplement, maintain, and enhance food safety initiatives and quality systems to meet regulatory and customer expectationsOversee product testing, sensory evaluations, labeling compliance, document control, SOPs, and COA reviewPartner cross-functionally with Production, Operations, R&D, and Supply Chain to ensure consistent quality outcomesDevelop and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), non-conformance investigations, and root cause analysisDirect and coach QA team members including training, scheduling, and performance managementMaintain certifications and lead customer, regulatory, and third-party auditsSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, standardization, and product consistencyCommunicate quality metrics, reporting, and trends to leadershipQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Quality Management, or related field preferred5+ years of quality experience in the food, beverage, or ingredient manufacturing industryPrior leadership or management experience requiredStrong knowledge of GFSI schemes (SQF, BRC, etc.) and regulatory compliance (FDA, USDA)Experience with HACCP, CAPA, SPC, and audit processesExcellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsBenefits & Perks:Full benefits package with 60% coverage6% 401(k) match3 weeks of vacation + 1 week sick leaveOpportunity for advancement and career developmentFun work environment with collaborative culture
