Summary:
Develops manufacturing techniques and processes for new and existing products and systems to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Directs engineering activities to cost new products, modify existing cost, improve production techniques, and develop work methods and procedures. Establishes SAM’s for production operations by conducting time studies and performing analysis/testing and verification of time studies.
• Confers with management, production and quality staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and management needs for engineering improvements.
• Conducts studies relating to plant production, loading and capacity, equipment, and labor Requirements, work layout, and workflows.
• Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
• At least 10 years of experience in Classical Engineering within a sewing factory. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering is required.
• Must have worked at least ten (10) years in a piece-rate factory environment, with a multitude of styles and garments; i.e., pants, coats, jackets.
