A Senior Quantity Surveyor to work within the Construction & Programming Team within the Property Service at Lancashire County Council. 

Are you a client-driven Senior Quantity Surveyor, who has successfully delivered a range of complex construction projects to a high value to meet client expectations. Our Building Group, within the Property Service, is a multidisciplinary specialised team comprised of Quantity Surveying, Project Management, CDM plus Building Design. Representing the client, we deliver a comprehensive £50m+ Capital programme which invests in the county council's property assets including schools, libraries, museums, residential care units and more. We are excited to welcome a Senior Quantity Surveyor to our team to lead multiple construction projects to be delivered through our partnering contract framework and competitive tendering.  

 

What we are searching for…

Project LeadershipWe are seeking an influential and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a directive and organised approach to lead multiple, complex, small to large value construction projectsto be delivered on time and within budget – this exciting opportunity will add social value to our communities as you will be responsible for overseeing projects such as new schools, school extensions, office, public buildings and school refurbishments and more – in this challenging role we will require you to lead the Quantity Surveying discipline on each phase of the project to ensure we deliver an exceptional service to our clients – you'll be a self-disciplined individual and be a strategic thinker to manage a range of project tasks – you'll manage budgets, provide professional guidance, adhere to legislative practice; and lead within multidisciplinary teams – so if you're ready for the challenge and have a proven track record of Quantity Surveying within the construction industry; then we'd really love you to join us!

Communication & Collaboration - As a confident Senior Quantity Surveyor you will know how to communicate specialist advice at all levels and be ready to challenge the status quo – with your extensive interpersonal skills you'll have a natural ability to engage others to deliver and communicate at each stage of the project – you will collaborate with our in-house design team including Architects, Building Surveyors, Project Managers, Mechanical, Electrical and Structural Engineers and work closely with key service area's such as Estates, FM and more – we'll need you to have the determination to see each project through, even when challenges arise - finally you'll be an exceptional team player and understand the importance of listening, guiding and collaborating with other's to achieve high quality construction projects to meet our client's needs – so if you're ready to join a forward thinking team apply now…
