Worley Canada Construction is looking for a Materials Controller for our growing Materials Management team to work on a field site in Squamish, British Columbia.
Work Conditions:
• This role is based at site near Squamish, British Columbia.
• Living out Allowance, and Travel Allowance applicable for those not local to the area
• 10/4 shift rotation
• Must have a driver’s licence and a reliable means of transportation.
Material Handling
· Prepare timely and accurate Bills of Lading and associated shipping documents.
· Monitor, schedule, coordinate and communicate deliveries to and from the site.
· Communicate with suppliers, drivers, and site supervision to ensure timely deliveries.
· Support Material Handlers with escorting loads, conducting physical inspections of material, and laydown management, as required.
Material Receiving
· Engages and supports the field-level materials team and prioritizes ensuring they can successfully receive incoming materials and resolve issues.
· Enables timely physical material receipt through processing of preliminary MRRs and posting of completed receipts.
· Works with our clients to schedule shipments of free issued materials.
· Receives and maintains inventory within Worley’s Material Management software, processing material receipts and issue tickets.
· Troubleshoots receiving issues, generates and resolves OS&Ds, and interfaces with buyers, suppliers, and clients to do so.
· Attests invoices requiring further investigation and resolution using Imageconnect system.
· Registers heat and serial numbers and attaches corresponding documentation (MTRs, CRNs, etc.) to material records.
· Coordinates with Home Office support to ensure all remotely supported procurement and materials management activities are being completed in a timely fashion.
Construction Readiness
· Works closely with the Materials Planner to actively understand materials forecast data to drive closeout of material deficiencies preventing completion of work packages.
· Coordinates with construction to understand fabrication / assembly priorities and prioritizes material picking / receiving activities associated with those.
· Constantly communicates with construction to understand any changes or resequencing of priorities.
· Other materials management activities as assigned by site or functional management.

Qualifications
- Completion of post-secondary education or trades certification is required.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, particularly piping isometrics, is considered an asset.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in Industrial construction is required.
- Knowledge of the fabrication / modularization / field assembly process is considered an asset.
- Practical knowledge of pipe, valves, fittings, instrumentation, equipment, and electrical materials and the associated material grades, codes and standards is strongly preferred.
- MS Excel Experience – knowledge of advanced Excel functions and Power Apps is considered an asset.
- Extensive knowledge of and confident user of Material Management and Procurement systems (Aveva Enterprise Resource Management Systems or equivalent SAP, JD Edwards, Site Sense etc.)
