JOB SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision, designs, develops, and supports AS400 applications using RPGLE/RPG free, CL/CLLE, and DB2. Job experience in problem solving RPG* application issues and recovery. Prepares application development documentation and serves as a mentor for other IT staff for knowledge transfer and information to support AS400-related applications. Leads IT teams to support IT services operations for global support. Performs other related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, maintain, and support of AS400 applications using RPG(IV,LE, Free), CL, and DB2.
Support Global AS400 manufacturing applications operation SLA targets for application uptime and services.
Lead technical planning and execution of AS400-related projects from concept to deployment.
Leads the IT support staff and acts as the first contact for the project and customers.
Collaborate with Global teams to mentor and train them on AS400 applications and operations used throughout Denso.
•Actively participate in coding, debugging, and performance tuning of AS400 systems.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and support staff.
Ensure system reliability, security, and compliance with IT standards.
Manage project schedules, risks, and deliverables for global initiatives while maintaining high-quality standards.
Communicate effectively with business stakeholders and IT leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field
6+ Years of Related Experience AS400 Application Development
Program Management Professional (PgMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in RPG(IV/LE/Free), CL, and DB2 in AS400 applications.
Experience using system implementation methods used for the development of new systems and enhancements to existing information systems
Experience working in automotive manufacturing preferred
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and an ability to gather and analyze facts, draw conclusions, define problems, and suggest solutions
Demonstrated proficiency in project management, systems analysis, and designing/developing RPG(IV/LE/Free) applications in AS400.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including excellent oral presentation skills.
Excellent customer service skills to address customer issues and to promote and support a service-oriented environment.
Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent conflict resolution skills with the ability to devise solutions to reconcile differences between opposing viewpoints.
Experience demonstrating an in-depth understanding of information systems policies, procedures, and terms.
Experience working with hardware components and software applications
Experience working with office software applications and productivity aids; database design and product certification helpful.
Advanced technical proficiency in MS Office products.
