You’ll take ownership of the daily running of all site-based facilities, making sure everything from planned preventive maintenance to reactive repairs runs like clockwork. Your mission? You'll play a key part in the ongoing development and transformation of the site, leading projects that meet building regulations, managing schedules of work, and ensuring everything is delivered to a high standard. With continuous improvement at the heart of what we do, you’ll champion Health & Safety excellence, raising standards, driving best practice, and making the site a safer, smarter place every day. 
This is a full‑time, permanent position based on‑site at our modern warehouse facility in Nettetal, Germany. In return, you'll receive a competitive salary of €36,000–€42,000, depending on your experience, plus the opportunity to grow your career with us. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all facilities and property operations are fully fit for purpose, legally compliant, transparent, and delivered with strong ethical, environmental, and social responsibility
  • Maintain a high‑performing site through proactive and reactive maintenance, ensuring all facilities remain safe, functional, and well‑presented at all times
  • Oversee all regulatory inspections on specialist equipment – including sprinkler systems, pump houses, and other critical infrastructure – ensuring full compliance and timely documentation
  • Work closely with existing contractors to deliver all planned and preventive maintenance, providing clear coordination, expectation management, and cost summaries
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance site functionality, ensuring all works adhere to landlord requirements and any relevant municipal permits
  • Recommend and support the implementation of cost‑effective, efficiency‑boosting facility improvements, contributing to ongoing operational excellence
  • Plan and coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, and renovation projects, keeping disruption to a minimum and standards consistently high
  • Champion Health, Safety & Environmental standards across the site, ensuring all activities prioritise wellbeing and compliance

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Skills, experience & expertise of our Facilities Maintenance Engineer:
  • Proven experience in facilities management within Germany, with a strong working knowledge of national regulations and compliance requirements
  • Background in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment, where you’ve played a hands‑on role in keeping operations efficient, safe, and running smoothly
  • A solid grasp of Health & Safety standards and environmental services, with the confidence to champion best practice across the site
  • Experience working with external contractors and service providers, ensuring high-quality delivery, clear communication, and effective expectation management
  • A recognised Health & Safety qualification (such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) would be a strong advantage
