Your Role

We are looking for a hybrid role of an Assistant Project Manager & Leasing Coordinator to join our San Fransico office. This person will support the PMA project team and collaborate with the client and project teams through a successful process of strategic real estate planning, pre-lease efforts, design and construction of new buildings, tenant improvement buildouts, and facilities assignments for lab and life sciences projects. Some of the ways you will support our projects:  

•    You have 2+ years of development and/or project management experience. Experience with Real Estate brokerage firms or brokers is a plus. Accounting experience is also a plus.  
•    You have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Urban Planning, Real Estate Development, Real Estate Finance, or a related field 
•    You are able to effectively communicate critical information to key stakeholders, often quickly and with short notice
•    You assist with the development and completion of project-specific tasks as required to meet or exceed the expectations of the client and fulfill contractual obligations
•    You interact weekly with the client and Real Estate brokers and can communicate succinctly, directly, and professionally with them and other internal team leaders. You foster strong relationships with clients and brokerage teams, ensuring timely responses to inquiries, and consistent communication
•    You have familiarity with Real Estate terminology and Real Estate Development Financial metrics, including Pro Forma spreadsheets, Project Budgets, Lease Negotiation and Review, and Leasing strategies and language
•    You support the planning and analysis of conceptual design issues and pre-construction activities
•    You maintain organized deal files, including proposals, RFPs, lease documentation, drawings, budgets, schedules, etc. 
•    You gather and maintain critical building documentation such as building system matrices, BOMA reports, as-built plans, process utility information, and other due diligence materials
You have a basic understanding of real estate design and architectural drawings, including space planning and programming, and can assist in early design efforts with prospective tenants, including block plans, test fits, space planning, programming, and equipment requirements
•    You can create budgets in the six to eight-figure range, draft milestone schedules for projects, analyze potential changes to budget or schedule, and communicate potential issues to team members
•    You effectively schedule meetings, attend site walks, and coordinate schedule availability to meet with contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, brokers, clients and other stakeholders to review the project status and resolve issues
•    You direct and/or document project meetings, responsibly follow up on project open items, and drive projects close out process to completion
•    You can assist in general agreements, documents, recommending actions, enforcing requirements, and reviewing changes in lease agreements and consultant contracts to clients or design & construction professionals. Familiarity with Lease Agreements, real estate transaction negotiations, and contract negotiations is preferred

The salary range for this position is $70,000-$110,000k annually; the base pay offered may vary depending on location, experience, skills, relevant education, and training.
