Health, Safety and Quality Manager

New Plumbing Solutions (NPS) is one of Australia’s fastest-growing trade and utilities businesses — delivering essential water, metering and plumbing services across multiple states. As we continue to scale nationally, we’re investing in the next phase of our safety, quality and compliance journey.

This is both a hands-on operational and strategic leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-growing, multi-site business. You will be responsible not only for setting the safety and quality strategy for NPS, but for rolling up your sleeves and embedding it across the business — working closely with field teams, operational leaders and the executives as we continue to scale nationally.

As NPS grows, you will play a key role in shaping the future-state structure, systems and capability of the safety and quality function, ensuring it remains fit for purpose as our contracts, people and footprint expand.

This is a senior, visible leadership role sitting on the NPS Extended Leadership Team and reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, with influence across all divisions, sites and contracts. Role currently has 1 direct report.

What You’ll Be Accountable For

• National safety strategy and execution

• Continue to build our safety culture across a fast-growing, multi-site national workforce

• Safety analytics, TRIFR, corrective actions and incident governance

• ISO systems and external audits

• Field engagement through site visits, toolbox talks and frontline leadership

• Risk, compliance and regulatory engagement across states

• Safety operations including investigation reports, driving corrective actions, coaching leaders’ day to day.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll bring:

• Senior WHS & Quality leadership in a multi-site, national environment

• A collaborative approach, ability to influence at all levels, and proactive mindset

• Experience in trades, construction, utilities service industry (plumbing highly regarded)

• Strong data-driven safety leadership (TRIFR, claims, audits, trends)

• Proven experience leading actions identified from ISO audits

• Proven ability to lead projects, drive and delivery safety related projects successfully
