WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

In your regular day at work you will drive the activities in the technical team and build your network across functions (e.g. laboratory, quality, purchasing, production and customer care).  

The role includes a period of training (short business trips) in the Sursee plant (Switzerland).  

Your duties will include: 

  • Develop customized cooking products from component level integration to complete system fulfilling the assigned project targets in terms of quality, performance, reliability, cost,& timing. 
  • Prepare and direct preparation of engineering documentation: Bill of Material, 2D & 3D drawings and Technical Specifications 
  • Contribute on the definition of the technical specification (both mechanical and functional)
  • Operate following the Electrolux Integrated Product Development Process. 
  • Track budgets for Project assigned. 
  • Being part of Project Reviews as required by the Project Leaders. 
  • Plan, monitor and approve work performed by Engineering and Prototype Workshop, Approval Laboratory, Reliability Laboratory, Innovation Team and Electronics Team. 
  • Being part of the various GR&D teams during the process of product development and demonstrate creative ability through invention or other significant contribution inside the specific project working teams 
  • Demonstrate Teamwork approach and self-organizing skills 
  • Interface with Manufacturing, Factory Quality, Process Engineering, Laboratories, Innovation & Technologies, Quality in Field, Electronics & Electrical Systems Development, Enablers. 
  • Ensure Product maintenance, Product quality and Product value analysis programs when needed. 
  • Fully support company programs, policies and objectives. 

WHAT’S NEEDED FOR YOU TO THRIVE

  • University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technical Background with 2+ years of experience in Product Development. 
  • Advanced skills in 3D CAD. Catia V5 /Inventor software with metal sheet design experience is a plus.
  • General knowledge of manufacturing and assembly methodology with stainless steel metal parts, plastic technology (plastic components). 
  • General MS Office proficiency required. 
  • Experience in Professional or Household Products sectors for cooking is a plus. 
  • Willing to travel  
  • Italian; fluent English. German is a plus.
  • Creative. Out of the box thinking is in your DNA.
  • Driven. You are able to work in autonomy focused on targets, taking responsibility and being able to drive project results.
  • Good communicator. You are able to work independently and cooperatively with a largely diverse cross functional group and international multi-cultural environment. 
  • Analytical. You are structure in your approach and have a good solving ability.
