Job Overview
FranConnect is seeking an HR Generalist to provide reliable, high-quality HR support for our employees and managers. This role is primarily focused on day-to-day HR execution, including recruiting, payroll, and employee support, while partnering closely with management in a strategic business partner capacity to deliver a consistent, employee-centric experience aligned with our global people strategy.
This is a highly visible role, well-suited for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-growing environment, and who values operational excellence. You will be a trusted advisor, playing a critical role in creating a meaningful employee journey by delivering high-value service to all levels of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Own end-to-end recruiting for assigned US-based roles.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements, team culture, budget scope and the skills needed for success in open roles.
- Post job openings and identify top talent through various sourcing strategies and channels (job boards, social media, networking, referrals, etc.).
- Screen, interview, and assess candidates to ensure a strong match between the candidate’s qualifications and the company’s needs.
- Manage the candidate pipeline and communicate regularly with both candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process to ensure a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Assess current talent acquisition practices and identify areas for improvement to scale.
- Track and report on talent acquisition metrics including time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, offer acceptance rates, etc.) to measure the effectiveness of recruiting strategies.
HR Support & Employee Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for US employees on HR-related questions and issues.
- Provide L1 coaching and support to managers on policy application questions, low-risk issues, and basic employee data requests; escalate all L2-L4 matters to Head of HR.
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle transactions accurately and consistently.
- Support employee engagement activities as needed, in partnership with Global HR team, fun committee, executive assistant, etc.
Payroll & HR Global Operations
- Own and process US payroll timely and accurately, coordinating with internal stakeholders and payroll vendors as needed.
- Address payroll and benefits questions from employees and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure HR data accuracy in HRIS.
- Follow documented procedures and controls to support compliance and reporting.
- Collaborate with India-based HR team to ensure consistency in processes and policies.
- Follow global HR standards while addressing US-specific needs.
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements
What You’ll Need (Qualifications)
Required:
- 3-5 years of hands-on HR experience, preferably in a SaaS or high-growth environment
- Experience owning the full lifecycle recruiting process across various role types
- Working knowledge of US employment laws and compliance
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, demonstrating a positive approach to change with the ability to adapt and remain effective in evolving environments
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and ATS platforms
- Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and documentation
- Excellent judgment, communication, and discretion
You will be required to be onsite in the VA HQ office 3 days per week (Tuesday - Thursday), so we are only considering local candidates for this role.
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end payroll processing; experience managing a multi-state workforce a huge plus
- Experience working with global or distributed teams
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification
