Your Role
We are seeking an Advanced Membrane Analytical Lab Quality Control Technician to support the full scope of biopharmaceutical membrane testing operations. This role focuses on maximizing safety, quality, and productivity through advanced testing support, including intermediate-level troubleshooting, membrane preparation, and execution of testing processes. The position also requires a strong working knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to ensure accurate data management and compliance.
Duties Include:
- Test membranes and related materials safely and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Quality and Safety Specifications and GMP standards.
- Follow procedures to perform required membrane testing independently.
- Safely set up, operate, and monitor inputs and outputs from quality lab test equipment such as HPLC/GPCs, UV/Vis, pH meter, and analytical balances.
- Support quality lab operations and projects under the guidance of master and lead technicians.
- Accurately complete and review documentation per GMP standards.
- Initiates and participates in Out of Specification (OOS) investigations, supports the execution of protocols, qualifications, and validations, and maintains a clean and orderly workspace.
- Proactive identification of safety, quality, and productivity concerns. Actively report hazardous conditions or hazardous behaviors observed in the work environment and the site.
- Participates in laboratory audits, tours, and sustainability efforts while performing advanced set-ups, troubleshooting, and review/verification of test and process data, ensuring accurate entry into the Laboratory Information Management System under limited supervision.
Physical Attributes
- Exposure to machinery and equipment, chemical reagents, biological materials at Biosafety Levels 1 and 2, in a laboratory environment.
- 100% Standing and/or sitting for duration of shift, up to 12 hours.
- Frequent lifting of 20 - 30 lbs. necessary/Max lifting – 40 to 50 lbs.
- Bend and twist as needed.
- Grasp, manipulate and handle objects consistently and regularly, Fine motor skills are required.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of laboratory experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a science field, or a bachelor’s degree in any Life Science discipline.
- 3+ years’ experience in an aseptic laboratory environment.
- 1+ years of experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems.
- Strong knowledge of EHS, ISO, cGMP, and other laboratory and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Reliable and self-motivated.
- Read, follow and understand Test Methods, Test Specifications, and other technical documentation.
Pay Range for this position: $17 -$27 per hour
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
