This entry level role blends design support, website updates, email/newsletter production, social media coordination, and content collection—with strong project management through Asana to keep work moving smoothly from request to delivery.
You’ll partner closely with the Marketing Department and internal departments to produce high-quality marketing assets, maintain consistent brand voice and visual standards, and ensure projects are delivered on time and on brand. The ideal candidate is a “doer” with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities without losing quality.
1) Project Management & Workflow (Asana)
- Manage and track marketing tasks and timelines in Asana, ensuring requests are clearly scoped, assigned, and moved through an agreed workflow.
- Coordinate deadlines, approvals, and deliverables across departments to reduce last-minute rushes and ensure alignment with the marketing calendar.
- Maintain organized project documentation (assets, links, drafts, final files) so the team can easily locate what they need.
- Proactively flag capacity concerns, missing information, and deadline risks—offering solutions to keep projects on track.
2) Email, Newsletter & Communications Support
- Build, format, and schedule marketing emails and newsletters in Mailchimp, ensuring mobile-friendly layout and brand consistency.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to gather content, clarify details, and ensure items are submitted by deadlines.
- Perform thorough QA (links, dates, spelling, segmentation, tracking links/UTMs when applicable).
- Track and share basic performance metrics (open/click rates, top links, unsubscribes) and suggest improvements.
- Assist with internal communications as needed (hours updates, operational notices, announcements), maintaining clarity and a consistent voice.
3) Social Media Coordination
- Coordinate social media content and scheduling in alignment with the marketing calendar and department priorities.
- Create and adapt content for platforms (graphics, short videos, captions), ensuring accuracy, brand voice, and accessibility (alt text, readable design).
- Support content planning by collecting program highlights, testimonials, photos, and key details from departments.
- Monitor basic engagement and flag trends, questions, or time-sensitive items to the Marketing Director.
4) Graphic Design & Creative Production Support
- Support design of marketing materials including social graphics, flyers, posters, banners, signage, and event collateral.
- Assist with simple video editing/animations for digital use as needed.
- Ensure visual consistency with JCC Denver brand guidelines across all channels.
- Help prepare files for print and coordinate production details when applicable.
5) Website Updates & Digital Content Support
- Update and maintain website content in the CMS to ensure information is accurate, current, and engaging (program pages, event pages, banners, basic edits).
- Coordinate larger changes or new features with internal web support or external vendors as needed.
- Support basic SEO best practices (clear page titles, headings, links, image alt text) and maintain clean, user-friendly web content.
6) Content Acquisition & Asset Management
- Coordinate photo/video capture for priority needs, including events, program photography, and quarterly headshots.
- Organize and maintain a shared photo/video library with clear naming conventions and easy retrieval for the marketing team.
- Support content permissions and releases as needed, especially for minors and public-facing materials.
