We’re seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our East Tāmaki team full-time (including Saturdays). This key leadership role is responsible for driving productivity, making the most of space and processes, and supporting wider business goals through effective warehouse management.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Foster a commitment to ABI Interiors' mission, vision, and values while promoting an inclusive environment.
  • Lead and support warehouse team members in a productive, inclusive, and values-led environment.
  • Coach, train, and develop staff through regular one-on-ones, feedback, and performance support.
  • Manage workforce planning, staffing levels, leave, timesheets, and start/finish times using KPIs to ensure efficiency.
  • Oversee end-to-end onboarding and offboarding of warehouse staff.
  • Proactively manage performance matters with professionalism and care.
  • Drive continuous improvement across warehouse processes, systems, layout, and team culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify gaps, implement solutions, and support operational improvements.
  • Manage external supplier relationships (couriers, packaging, logistics partners), including contract review and negotiation.
  • Ensure full compliance with New Zealand health and safety regulations, including MPI and biosecurity requirements.
  • Oversee container devanning and warehouse operations in line with MPI standards.
  • Conduct safety checks, audits, and inspections, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Track, analyse, and report on warehouse KPIs with senior leadership.
  • Develop and manage the warehouse operations budget, identifying cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
  • Evaluate and implement warehouse technologies to improve workflow, accuracy, and performance.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to ensure effective system use.
  • Support day-to-day warehouse operations as needed, including picking, packing, stock management, housekeeping, and biosecurity processes.

About You:

  • Proven experience leading warehouse or logistics teams.
  • Strong people leadership skills with a coaching and development mindset.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety, MPI, and biosecurity compliance in New Zealand.
  • Experience managing KPIs, budgets, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Comfortable being hands-on when required and leading by example.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
