About the position
We are currently seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Broadmeadow based team. Reporting to the Senior Base Engineer and operating within a CASR approved Part 145 organisation, this role will be required to carry out maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification, assembly and/or testing on the aircraft fleet in a safe and efficient manner and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
- Assist the maintenance team with maintenance activities including major aircraft inspections, repairs and overhauls in accordance with approved company, manufacturer and airworthiness authority manuals.
- Assist the maintenance team to conduct hybrid trouble shooting, address recurrent technical problems and ensure all maintenance and defect rectification is carried out to the relevant design and quality standards.
- Complete documentation in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with company requirements.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders through a commitment to the Service’s values of compassion, unity, accountability and integrity, whilst demonstrating and promoting a positive and proactive attitude toward safety, quality and environmental standards at all times.
About you
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Aircraft Engineer Trade Qualification – with AW139 and/or EMS experience a bonus.
- Enthusiasm and initiative, with a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrated proactive approach to creating a respectful, safe and inclusive culture.
- Proven attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills (including Air Maestro, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills).
- Current Australian drivers licence.

This position is identified Category B in accordance with NSW Health’s framework for the assessment, screening and vaccination of workers to minimise the risk of transmission of vaccine-preventable diseases. As such, it is an essential requirement of this position that you comply with the Service’s policies relating to Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases.
