Job Description
As a Developer Community Manager, you will plan and execute long-term programs for the local developer community with guidance from the Developer Relations (“DevRel”) team. Additionally, you will coordinate with other stakeholders from the local developer ecosystem as needed for program success. You have a relevant understanding of the local tech ecosystem and exceptional project management skills. Execute strategies and deliver key insights to better tailor programs for the region.

Role description:
Provide sourcing services to identify market opportunity, growth, sector prioritization and recommend startups for Google Developer Relations team:

• Experience in applying research methodologies to inform business decisions.
• Distinctive client and project management, problem solving, and analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgment.
• Strong command of internet technologies and their policy environments. An ability to quickly get up to speed on complex technology, product, market, and regulatory issues.
• Team player with humility, a sense of humor, and the ability to exercise good judgment in a rapidly changing and sometimes stressful environment.

• Experience and understanding of startup ecosystem.
• Experience with Data Studio and building Dashboards.
• English - speaking and writing proficiency.

Startups:

• Market mapping:
  • Regional Lead, Research team and Sourcing Analyst identify market opportunity, growth and sector prioritization prior to startup sourcing kick off
  • Works with internal stakeholders to understand regional priorities in addition to independent research findings.

• Sourcing of startups:
  • Sourcing analyst starts working directly with RL on an ongoing basis, (even though the program dates may not be finalized), to curate list of startups to watch in the region
  • S.A works closely with Central Stratops team and RL to apply sourcing criteria to respective regional programs
  • Research, source,and rank startups based onsourcing criteria defined internally, Review referrals lists to identify top startups in the region based on sourcing criteria and priority industry verticals
  • S.A works with internal stakeholders identified by RL to understand PA priorities, referrals and recommendations.

• Outreach support:
  • Sourcing analyst helps map startup to relevant Google team if/ when RL does not have existing relationship with PA
  • S.A works with RL’s regional VC network to identify strong startups in the region
  • S.A maps internal and external contacts of the proposed list of startups and works with RL on outreach for multiple startup initiatives in the region.

• Data maintenance:
  Update 3rd party Pitchbook database with Accelerator alumni information using data maintenance process defined internally.
  • Update information on startups
  • Growth metrics
  • EOY reports on performance

• Network/ Community:
  • Identified startups are a part of numerous initiatives - accelerators, mentorship clinics, etc. S.A responsible for maintaining community initiatives/ tracking - with RL
  • Success tracking of alumni over time
  • Creation EOY / mid year reports, following existing
  • template, on performance using the above funding
  • information. Highlight growth of sourced startups that
  • participated in the accelerator across programs, to highlight sourcing program growth and efficacy.

Qualification:

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).
