What You’ll Do
As a Mold Maintenance Technician at Jabil, you’ll play a key role in keeping injection molds running smoothly so production stays efficient and products meet quality standards. Your work will include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and repairing mold components to ensure everything operates at its best.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance on injection molds—cleaning, inspecting, and replacing worn parts.
Troubleshoot issues like flashing, short shots, and cosmetic defects, and find root causes.
Repair and adjust mold systems, including hot runners, ejector systems, and core pulls.
Disassemble and reassemble molds using engineering drawings and specifications.
Support mold improvements and modifications in collaboration with engineering.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and schedules.
Work closely with production and quality teams to solve mold-related problems.
Follow safety guidelines and help maintain an organized spare‑parts inventory.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
High school diploma required; technical training in Tool & Die, Machining, or Industrial Maintenance is a plus.
At least 1 year of experience with mold maintenance or tool & die work.
Understanding of injection molding processes and basic mold design.
Ability to read engineering drawings and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Knowledge of hot runner systems; welding or machining skills are a bonus.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and good communication.
Able to lift up to 25kg and stand for long periods.
Works well independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
