Inviting applications for the role of Manager - Network Engineer
We are seeking a skilled L2 network engineer with expertise in Cisco and Arista technologies, complemented by a foundational understanding of network development operations (netdevops). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance across all systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Network Management:
o Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco and Arista network devices to ensure optimal performance.
o Monitor network traffic and implement solutions to prevent bottlenecks and downtime.
o Collaborate with the IT team to design and deploy scalable network solutions.
o Understanding of SDWAN technologies and implementations of various vendors
o Strong understanding of WAN technologies and routing protocol with a strong focus on BGP.
• Technical Support:
o Provide second-level support for network-related issues, resolving complex problems efficiently.
o Assist in the development of troubleshooting procedures and documentation for network operations.
o Work closely with L1 support teams to escalate and resolve issues promptly.
• Netdevops Integration:
o Apply basic netdevops principles to automate network tasks and improve operational efficiency.
o Participate in the development and deployment of network automation scripts using tools like Itential or Python.
o Collaborate with software development teams to integrate network solutions into broader IT projects.
• Security and Compliance:
o Implement security protocols to protect network integrity and data privacy.
o Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
o Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
• Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes, and performance metrics.
o Prepare reports on network status, incidents, and resolutions for management review.
o Contribute to the creation of technical documentation for training and reference purposes.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Relevant years of experience as a network engineer, with a focus on Cisco and Arista technologies.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco IOS and Arista EOS platforms.
• Basic understanding of netdevops practices, including automation tools like Ansible or Python.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex network issues.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
• Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Arista Certified Engineering Associate (ACE-A).
• Experience with cloud networking solutions and virtualization technologies.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds or LogicMonitor
Working Conditions:
• This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to address critical network issues.
• The role is primarily office-based but may involve travel to other company locations for project implementation.
