As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will develop and implement manufacturing processes to achieve high volumes production of complex aircraft engine components. Success in this role will be defined by your ability to achieve your goals, collaborating with your peers to create processes that meet drawing requirements, have high yield, minimize risk of deviation/scrap and meet required production rates.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Design and validate manufacturing router and documentation according to company procedures and customer requirements

  • Provide manufacturing method development and improvement for current and new products

  • Apply Design for Manufacturing principles working with a cross functional team to ensure 6-sigma process capability and stable process

  • Work with manufacturing engineering peers and manufacturing shop personnel to validate processes, tools, equipment

  • Design and validate fixtures, tooling and equipment for production and new product development

  • Coordinate with outside vendors that may be contracted to build production equipments and/or farm-out machining operations

  • Determine safe manufacturing processes that produce a quality product in the most efficient method of production

  • Pursue continuous improvement for quality and cost reductions in designated areas

  • Assist supervisors and production employees in resolving manufacturing process problems through a drive to root cause and permanent corrective actions

  • Accountable for attaining all aspects of production operations, including safety, quality, First Time Yield and productivity

  • Previous experience as Manufacturing Engineer.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bacherol’s Degree in Engineering

  • Good knowledge in the interpretation of engineering drawings/specifications and manufacturing processes

  • Fluent in English and Italian

  • EU work permit

  • Six Sigma training is preferred

  • Self-starter and clear thinker.

  • Good knowledge of cutting technologies

  • Good knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) system

  • Humility, Transparency and Focus behaviors

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to make data driven decisions, cause-effect analysis and utilize Six Sigma and Lean tools
