Job description

Trimble Danderyd develops and manufactures optical measurement instruments, total stations and scanning total stations, for the surveying and construction markets. Our products are market leading and have a reputation of quality, productivity and reliability. 

Trimble R&D in Danderyd contains a broad range of core disciplines; electronics, mechanics, optics and FW/SW. Today our R&D department consists of approximately 90 engineers, all highly qualified within their fields. The Electronics & Regulatory Compliance team consists of 15 engineers responsible for instrument hardware and product compliance.

As an Electronics Developer at Trimble you will have the opportunity to work in cross functional teams with developers of all disciplines. To succeed in this role, you should have a genuine technical interest and like to work in teams. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and verify embedded electronics for our optical total stations;

  • Work cross-functional together with Mechanics, Optics and FW developers in projects and pre-studies;

  • Contribute to technology roadmap decisions;

  • Help and mentor young engineers;

  • Support production and test set-ups.

Required skills and experience:

  • Applicable Bachelor’s or Master’s degree;

  • 10+ years of experience in the field of analog electronics design;

  • A large sense of responsibility and a high level of autonomy in electronic design and development allowing you to produce innovative solutions to the complex problems that you will encounter;

  • General and genuine interest in technology and excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;

  • Experience with high tech sensors and lasers;

  • Experience with Spice or similar tools;

  • Practical experience in verifying and troubleshooting electronics;

  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills;

  • Able to express yourself well in Swedish and English, both written and spoken (fluent);

  • Knowledge about signal integrity;

  • Knowledge about power integrity and power systemisation;

  • Experience within design verification;

  • Experience within embedded systems;

  • Experience with Altium is a merit.
