Full Time

Teleste's Public Safety and Mobility business unit delivers innovative passenger information solutions and services for public transport operators and rolling stock manufacturers. Our customers are leading international players which can be found all around the world. Most of our business is export-driven, making us a truly international company. We connect with our customers through a global network of offices and partners. Teleste is listed on Nasdaq Helsinki.

We are looking for a Project Manager to join Teleste’s growing community

As a Project Manager you’ll be part of our Project Management Office and you will lead our customer delivery projects from contract signing through to successful project closing. You will support dedicated sales cases and contribute to the project’s successful start.

During the project execution phase, you will take overall responsibility for the project — covering the design and delivery of the complete passenger information system, including software together with interfaces, and serial production readiness — ensuring that quality, scope, schedule, customer satisfaction, contractual and financial objectives are achieved. Managing customer relationships is also a vital part of the project manager’s role in dedicated projects.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for both customers and internal teams, fostering clear communication, alignment, and collaboration across all stakeholders. In this role, you’ll also proactively manage risks, changes, and opportunities to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction. This role also includes international travel, allowing you to visit customers and experience the railway industry firsthand.

This is a permanent position where you will be employed by Teleste. Our office is located in Tampere, and while other locations can be discussed, we appreciate regular presence at the Tampere office to support smooth collaboration.

What are we looking for?

To succeed in this role, you bring strong experience in leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects in an international environment. You have strong experience as a Project Manager working directly with international customers, along with a proven ability to manage projects in either hardware or software development, ideally combining both. You work confidently with requirement management, project scheduling and critical path management, ideally using MS Project. You are familiar with contract negotiation, change management, ERP systems, financial reporting and project budget control, and you approach risk management in a structured and proactive way.

As a person, you communicate clearly with different stakeholders and adapt your message to both technical and non-technical audiences. You lead with clarity and empathy, create trust in your team and build strong working relationships across functions and cultures. You enjoy taking ownership, work in a methodical and solution-oriented way and feel confident guiding a project from early planning to successful delivery. Strong English skills, both written and spoken, are essential, and additional language abilities are seen as a plus.

Why Teleste?

In this role you will join a company that combines long-term vision with a meaningful mission: building sustainable, reliable and future-proof solutions for customers around the world. At Teleste you will be part of a growing global business where projects are diverse, technically challenging and built on strong, long-term customer relationships. You will work alongside skilled colleagues across different disciplines and countries, learning from one another and contributing to solutions that genuinely make a difference.

You will have room to influence your own work and the support of a collaborative, approachable team that values openness and shared success. We believe in giving people both responsibility and the trust to carry it, and we encourage you to shape your role in a way that helps you thrive. Here, you can grow professionally, develop your expertise and be part of a community where everyone works toward the same goal.
