Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Road Maintenance Supervisor to join the West Waikato State Highway Maintenance Contract team based out of Hamilton. We are looking for a motivated person to work alongside the Operations and Programme Managers to assist in managing the quality and efficiency of the day to day contract operations across the Region.
In addition to the above you will:
Manage daily operational activities
Ensure business excellence and targets are met
Resource allocation, bookings, communicating with staff, subbies and clients
Leading a team including the ability to mentor, develop and manage performance
Fleet Management
We’re looking for someone with:
Safety and compliance focused
A back ground in civil construction and maintenance
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise work
Lead through clear work instructions and monitoring
Class 2, or 4 drivers licence and preferred but not essential
WTR endorsements with digger competency preferred but not essential
Previous STMS experience preferred but not essential
Asks questions and shares ideas
Have a sense of humour
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility on working hours and rostered on call requirements
Relates to a diverse range of people and working styles
