Geospatial Solutions Architect

Overview

NV5 Geospatial is actively recruiting a Geospatial Solutions Architect. Strong capabilities in designing and implementing geospatial visualization solutions integrated with operational dashboards and cloud-based platforms are required. The Geospatial Solutions Architect will be located remotely and support US Southern Command. US citizenship, along with the ability to successfully pass a basic background check for access to US military bases, is required for employment. A Secret or TS/SCI US Government security clearance is desired. 

 

Work Setting:

• This role offers flexibility in location, with the option to work from any NV5 Regional Office or remotely from home.
• Potential travel up to 15-20% of the time

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain geospatial data visualization solutions that integrate with cloud-based platforms. 
• Develop operational dashboards that leverage GIS tools such as Esri ArcGIS, QGIS, and open source geospatial platforms. 
• Optimize geospatial data layers for real-time analytics and cross-domain information sharing. 
• Oversee the integration of geospatial AI/ML models, ensuring accuracy and alignment with mission requirements. 

Qualifications

Minimum Requriements:

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, or a related field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience geospatial architecture. 
• Demonstrated experience in developing GIS solutions using Esri ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms. 
• Demonstrated experience integrating geospatial data into cloud-based applications.
• Experience with spatial analysis, remote sensing, and geospatial AI/ML applications.
• Ability to manage and prioritize complex project tasks. 

Preferred:

• Esri ArcGIS Desktop Associate or Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) certification.
• Portuguese or Spanish language skills.
• Experience with government IT programs and environments.
• Secret or TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance. 

Clearance Requirement: 

• None required; Active Secret or TS/SCI preferred.
