Company Description

Assent is the leading solution for supply chain sustainability tailored for the world’s top-tier, sustainability-driven manufacturers. Hidden risks riddle supply chains, many of which weren't built with sustainability in mind. That's where we step in. With insights from experts, Assent is the tool manufacturers trust for comprehensive sustainability.

We are proud to announce that Assent has crossed the US$100M ARR milestone, granting us Centaur Status. This accomplishment, reached just 8 years following our Series A, makes us the first and only Certified B Corporation in North America's SaaS sustainability industry to celebrate this milestone.

Our journey from $5 million to US$100M ARR in just eight years has been marked by significant growth and achievements. With our $350 million US funding led by Vista Equity Partners, we're poised for even greater expansion and are on the lookout for outstanding team members to join our mission.

Hybrid Work Model

At Assent, we proudly embrace a remote-first work model, valuing the flexibility and autonomy it provides our team. We also acknowledge the intangible benefits of occasional in-person workdays. For team members situated within 50 kms/31 miles of our five global offices in Ottawa, Eldoret, Penang, Columbus, Pune and Amsterdam, you can expect to come into the office 1-3 days a week. Similarly, those near our co-working spaces in Nairobi and Toronto are encouraged to work onsite once a month.

Job Description

The Integrations Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering complex customer integrations between Assent’s SaaS platform, customer systems, and 3rd-party integration partners. This role owns the end-to-end integration project lifecycle — from scoping to go-live — ensuring all internal technical teams, external partners, and customer stakeholders execute against a clear and achievable timeline.

The Integrations Project Manager oversees daily project activities, cross-functional alignment, milestone delivery, quality compliance, and risk mitigation, ensuring integrations are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Project Leadership

  • Owns the delivery of customer integrations from initiation through cutover and post-go-live stabilization.

  • Creates detailed project plans, schedules, and integration timelines, coordinating internal teams (Engineering, Product, Data, Security, Customer Success, Data Consulting), external integration partners, and customer IT resources.

  • Translates complex technical requirements into clear deliverables, dependencies, and risk considerations.

  • Ensures all integration activities — configuration, development, testing, UAT, and deployment — adhere to quality and security standards.

Technical & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Acts as the primary project manager between Assent’s technical teams, customer system owners, and third-party system integrators.

  • Facilitates technical discussions involving APIs, middleware, data mapping, authentication methods, and event-based or scheduled integrations.

  • Supports customers and partners in understanding integration options, constraints, and required artifacts.

  • ERP/PLM System Expertise

  • Applies strong working knowledge of ERP and PLM systems to guide project scoping, data mapping decisions, and customer architecture discussions.

  • Understands common integration patterns with enterprise systems and can identify risks related to data structure, system limitations, security, or workflow misalignment.
  • Works closely with Engineering , Product, and 3rd Integration Partners to unblock technical issues, clarify requirements, and manage change requests.

  • Project Execution & Governance

  • Drives day-to-day project operations, ensuring all stakeholders meet milestone dates and deliverables.

  • Manages project scope, risk, dependencies, and resource alignment.

  • Supports and enforces Agile practices where appropriate, balancing structure with practical delivery needs.

  • Ensures comprehensive documentation across the integration lifecycle, including requirements, mapping documents, test plans, and deployment checklists.

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Serves as the main point of communication for customers and partners, providing proactive updates, timelines, and escalation management.

  • Builds transparent engagement frameworks that align all internal and external parties.

  • Facilitates regular project meetings, technical checkpoints, and executive updates as needed.

  • Compliance & Operational Excellence

  • Follows all corporate security policies and ensures integration processes adhere to compliance requirements.

  • Participates in ongoing improvement initiatives across Product Operations and integrations delivery.

  • (This is not an exhaustive list of duties; responsibilities may evolve based on business needs.)

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Required

  • Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience in SaaS, enterprise software, or system integration environments.

  • Strong technical aptitude with hands-on understanding of integrations, APIs, middleware, data mapping, authentication, and system communication patterns.

  • Deep working knowledge of ERP and/or PLM systems such as SAP, Oracle, or PTC.

  • Experience coordinating technical teams and managing cross-organizational integration efforts.

  • Excellent communication skills — able to translate technical concepts between engineers, customers, and leadership.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

  • Strong risk management, issue resolution, and escalation skills.

  • Ability to influence without authority and build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing projects with ambiguity or evolving requirements.

  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and SDLC methodology.

  • Experience working directly with customers and external vendors or system integration partners.

  • Proficiency with JIRA and other project tracking tools.

  • Exceptional emotional intelligence, professionalism, and documentation discipline.

Preferred

  • PMI, Agile, or ScrumMaster certification.

  • Experience in a PMO or structured delivery environment.

  • Background in SaaS integrations, managed services, or enterprise onboarding programs.
