We are seeking an Event Sales Manager who thrives on relationship-building and revenue generation within the social and events market.
Position OverviewThe Event Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue and market share across Dawn Ranch’s social event segments, with a primary focus on weddings, social celebrations, and wellness-oriented retreats. This role is highly client-facing and relationship-driven, serving as a brand ambassador for Dawn Ranch while cultivating new business, managing qualified inbound leads, and expanding strategic partnerships within the local and regional events community.
This position is ideal for a sales professional who enjoys hosting property tours, building trust with clients and planners, and converting interest into confirmed business.
Primary Objectives
- Drive revenue growth and market share across social events, weddings, and wellness retreats
- Expand the client and planner base through proactive outreach, relationship cultivation, and strategic networking
- Represent Dawn Ranch as a premier destination for meaningful and memorable social gatherings
Key Responsibilities/Essential Duties:
Sales & Business Development
- Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new social event business, including weddings and retreats
- Respond to qualified inbound leads while maintaining strong follow-up and conversion discipline
- Build and maintain relationships with wedding planners, event professionals, wellness partners, and local industry contacts
- Participate in bridal shows, open houses, site visits, and networking events to generate new business
- Conduct ongoing market research within the social and wedding space, including competitive insights and SWOT analysis, and provide quarterly market feedback
Contracting & Revenue Optimization
- Lead client conversations from initial inquiry through contract execution
- Review and present estimates and contracts with clients, ensuring alignment with property policies, pricing strategy, and revenue goals
- Actively identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell lodging, food and beverage, buyouts, and ancillary experiences
Client Experience & Property Tours
- Conduct professional, engaging property tours that showcase Dawn Ranch’s unique offerings
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the sales process, delivering a thoughtful, responsive, and polished experience
Digital Presence & Venue Representation
- Manage and curate the Dawn Ranch Pinterest account to support wedding and social event inspiration
- Leverage third-party platforms including WeddingWire, The Knot, and Sonoma County Tourism Hospitality Hub to increase visibility and lead generation
- Collaborate with internal marketing partners to align messaging and brand representation
Collaboration & Systems
- Work closely with Sales Support, who supports administrative and documentation tasks, allowing this role to remain focused on revenue-generating activity
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, food and beverage, and leadership teams to ensure smooth event execution and client satisfaction
- Utilize Microsoft Office 365 and internal sales systems to manage accounts, reporting, and pipeline activity

Physical & Travel Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to move throughout the property and host tours in indoor and outdoor environments
- Occasional local travel required, valid driver’s license required
- Ability to use repetitive hand and body motions such as grasping, writing, typing, listening, hearing, and visual acuity.
- Role may require the ability to drive a motor vehicle, stand, walk, sit, talk, talk on a telephone or mobile device, carry a laptop (including while traveling), use a computer for a significant amount of time each day, to hear, and to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.

- Proven experience in sales, event sales, or hospitality sales with demonstrated revenue success
- Established network within weddings, social events, destination management, or related industries strongly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort using CRM and sales systems
