We are searching for a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our Vantage Elevation team. About Us Vantage Elevation, LLC is North America’s leading independent manufacturer of elevator components and systems. Vantage is comprised of eight business units including GAL Manufacturing; GAL Canada; Hollister-Whitney; Elevator Controls; Courion; Bore-Max; Thames Valley Controls and Vertical Dimensions.

Through its brands, Vantage supplies almost all electro-mechanical devices used in contemporary elevators. Founded in 1927, the Vantage group employs over 900 staff in multiple locations across the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom. The Senior Accountant will be reporting to the VP of Finance & Treasurer (“Vice President”), the Senior Accountant will work directly with the Vice President and business unit Controllers in streamlining and completing the month end closing process, consolidate financial statements, review account reconciliations and test and or validate the internal control process across 8 operating companies.

Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with:

• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant

• Understanding of Accounting software required

• MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables

• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills

• Minimum 3 years related working experience

• Attention to details, Analysis of Information, Accounting, Verbal communication Duties and Responsibilities A typical day may include:

• Analyze expenses monthly, prepare and post journal entries as needed
• Prepare and post monthly Accrual entries

• Prepare and analyze account reconciliations
• Process accounts payable invoices and payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.

• Act as the point of contact for vendor inquiries • Assist with reviewing and evaluating financial data reporting.

• Professionally interact with company auditors, tax auditors, and tax recovery specialists as required.

• Plan and conduct meetings to ensure compliance with established practices.

• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing all related tasks as needed

• Follow all procedures within the company security policies and discuss with the Controller any work-related irregularities/deficiencies and possible solution to problems

• Other projects and responsibilities as assigned

Salary for California  Based Applicants: $90,000 - $110,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and in keeping with local legislation).
