Quality Engineer Schofield

Job Location: Schofield, WI 54476Job Shift: 1st

Join our Quality Assurance team to ensure product excellence and support continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations. You'll perform hands-on testing, support new product launches, and collaborate with internal teams and customers to resolve quality issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct quality tests: crosshatch, mil thickness, pencil hardness, cure, gloss, reverse impact, puck testing
• Operate precision tools and gauges for material inspection and defect analysis
• Support APQP and PPAP documentation: Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans
• Investigate nonconforming materials and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Collaborate with Customer Service and Engineering on RMAs and rework options
• Audit shop floor processes and ensure compliance with work instructions and standards (e.g., AAMA)

Qualifications

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with quality inspection tools and small hand tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong data entry accuracy
• Ability to read, revise, and create technical documents and work instructions
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and continuous improvement practices
• Strong attention to detail for visual defect identification
• Post-secondary education or technical certifications preferred

 Work Environment & Expectations

• Manufacturing setting with potential exposure to paint line substances (see SDS)
• Mandatory overtime may be required
• Up to 30% travel to customer sites
• Independent and team-based work
