This position is full-time, hybrid (2 days in office (Wednesdays and another day of your choice) and 3 days from home. This position has onsite responsibility located at Fairbanks Hall in Indianapolis, IN.  

 

 

Role Responsibilities

 

 

  • Serves as a liaison between attorneys and internal and external business and legal contacts. 
  • Provides high-level administrative support to attorneys, performs legal research, and drafts legal documents (e.g., correspondence, legal holds, etc.).
  • Supports attorneys with all aspects of liability claims, including document production, privilege review, and communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Independently coordinates and manages discovery requests in litigation, including gathering, reviewing, and organizing responsive documents and information. 
  • Ensures timely and accurate responses to discovery obligations and assists in maintaining compliance with court deadlines.
  • Assists with the preparation of meetings, including agendas and distribution of materials. 
  • Creates and maintains corporate and legal forms, documents, reports, policies and procedures, corporate governance documentation, and spreadsheets. 
  • Assists in the creation of presentations and updates and maintains databases. 
  • Manages various projects as determined appropriate and assigned.

 

 

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

 

Preferred: 

  • Paralegal Degree or Certification. 
  • Experience in coordinating and responding to discovery requests and supporting litigation processes strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal degree required.
  • Requires 0–3 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with matrix organization and complex work environment preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required.

 

Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal degree required.
  • Requires 0–3 years of relevant experience.
