Job Title: Business Development Representative

Job Overview: Our client, a trusted market leader in information technology  is seeking a sales-focused, high-energy Business Development Representative to join their growing team . This role is key to the sales team and focuses on prospecting, discovering, and qualifying opportunities with potential clients . The representative will be responsible for delivering a steady flow of leads and introductory meetings for the company's managed services, cloud, and cybersecurity portfolio . This is an opportunity for a passionate professional to join a dynamic environment that supports career development and offers a path for advancement .

Location: Toronto (ON) . This is a permanent and full-time position with 2-3 days/week in-office when required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualify prospects based on their requirements and how well they fit into the Company's Ideal Customer Profile .

  • Perform telephone and/or other prospecting activities as initial outreach tactics to solicit new business opportunities .

  • Actively participate in company-driven activities: marketing initiatives, social media, and networking campaigns to promote new business .

  • Determine the interest of the prospect and follow up on all conversations and opportunities .

  • Identify the needs and challenges of the prospective customer to schedule qualified discovery meetings with members of the sales team .

  • Collaborate with the sales team to implement strategic activities and create opportunities .

Qualifications:

  • College diploma or equivalency .

  • Bilingual proficiency in English, written and spoken .

  • Possess a minimum of 1-3 years of successful B2B sales experience in the MSP space .

  • Strong telephone and prospecting skills: ability to listen well, engage in conversation and communicate the value that technology services can bring to an organization .

  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, CRM, and messaging tools .

  • Capacity to organize and prioritize tasks and follow up activities .

  • Autonomous, creative, enthusiastic and driven to succeed .

  • Operational proficiency with IT-related technologies with an aptitude to associate the customer's business pain to our value-added services .

  • Proven track record for achieving and exceeding objectives .

  • Possess intermediate-to advanced skills and knowledge of standard office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) .

  • Motivated self-starter with the desire for advancement to an outside sales role within our organization .

Compensation Transparency

The expected compensation range for this role is $90,000 – $140,000 annually , depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
