Role Summary/Purpose:
We are looking for a highly skilled and Strategic Commercial Procurement Specialist/Associate Manager to join our Latin America Procurement team. 
This role requires a results-driven professional with a strong ability to influence senior leadership, drive strategic initiatives, and manage high-value supplier relationships to enhance business performance.
This is a critical role within the organization, demanding commitment, analytical thinking, and strong negotiation skills to ensure the company achieves its cost, quality, innovation, and operational efficiency goals. 
The ideal candidate must have a proactive and strategic mindset, capable of leading key procurement projects that impact business growth and transformation.


Responsibilities:

  • Drive and oversee the design and execution of advanced sourcing strategies for the CP Latin America region, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives, market competitiveness, and value creation beyond cost optimization.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, influencing decision-making through deep market insights, risk assessments, and supplier performance analytics.
  • Lead complex, high-impact negotiations and develop long-term strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure resilience, innovation, and continuous competitive advantage.
  • Oversee and elevate supplier selection, segmentation, and performance management frameworks, ensuring adherence to global standards, risk governance (Data Privacy, Anti-Bribery, Financial Health), and continuous capability uplift.
  • Guide and sponsor supplier inclusion and sustainability strategies, ensuring integration into broader business objectives and measurable impact on company ESG goals.
  • Provide insights on emerging market trends, regulatory shifts, and risk exposures, proactively adjusting regional procurement roadmaps and cascading strategies to ensure responsiveness and resilience.
  • Collaborate with and influence cross-functional senior stakeholders (Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, Digital, etc.) to shape category direction, drive business transformation, and ensure executive alignment.
  • Orchestrate the rollout and execution of multi-country procurement strategies, ensuring local adoption, governance compliance, and delivery of targeted financial and operational results.
  • Monitor, challenge, and report procurement KPIs at a regional level, providing strategic insights and executive-level recommendations to drive continuous improvement and track performance against business goals.
  • Lead Procurement wide initiatives that bring greater value to the organization.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, International Business, Supply Chain, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of strategic procurement experience, preferably in marketing or commercial procurement.
  • Proven experience in supplier relationship management, strategic negotiations, contract development, and cost optimization initiatives across multiple categories and countries.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to communicate and influence senior leadership effectively in person and virtually.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to assess market dynamics and drive competitive sourcing strategies.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies and e-Procurement tools.
  • Proficiency in competitive bidding and strategic sourcing methodologies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An advanced degree (MBA) or professional certification (CPM, CPIM, or Project Management)
  • Expertise in strategy development for multiple commercial services spend categories
  • Be a highly capable negotiator able to handle significant amounts of ambiguity and negotiation conditions for commercial services spend categories.
  • Fast Moving Consumer Package Goods (FMCPG) Experience
