Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct full cycle recruiting for Class A CDL drivers, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
- Make outbound field recruiting calls on an as-needed basis to support location-specific hiring needs
- Review and evaluate applications to determine qualification and eligibility for hire based on company and DOT standards
- Maintain consistent follow-up with applicants to ensure timely completion of pre-hire requirements
- Coordinate start dates, orientations, and onboarding logistics with terminals and leadership
- Ensure proper communication between Recruiting, Safety, Compliance, Payroll, and Terminal Management
- Travel to terminals or job fairs as needed to support recruiting initiatives
- Be available on an on-call basis during evenings and weekends to address urgent recruiting matters
- Support special recruiting projects and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications for Consideration:
- Three to five years of recruiting experience (transportation industry preferred)
- College degree preferred or equivalent recruiting experience
- Paycom, Tenstreet, 3rd Party Administrator experience desired
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT laws and regulations highly preferred
- Must have a concierge customer service mindset and quality of service delivery
- Agile approach to changes in strategy, customer demand, and/or recruiting challenges
- Experienced in teambuilding, establishing relationships and communication skills
- Must be able to operate with a sense of urgency, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be customer service oriented
- Ability to align driver recruiting efforts with the company’s operational needs
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to take initiative in development and completion of projects
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to display professional demeanor
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting for long periods of time, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual activity.
- Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds).
Working Conditions:
- Requires travel at least 10% of the time.
- Normal office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copier/printer/scanners.
