Social Media Manager

BIS Safety Software.com

Office

Sherwood Park, Alberta

Full Time

BIS Safety Software is a fast-paced, high-growth organization providing leading software for the safety industry. We’re on a mission to change how organizations manage learning and compliance, and social media is a key lever in getting us there. If you’re a hands-on social expert who can own the end-to-end social engine, we’d love to hear from you.
Who We Are
Founded in 2006, BIS is proudly headquartered in Sherwood Park, Alberta. We have developed a world class software solution by emphasizing client relationships and continuous innovation, and we are looking to continue our growth across North America and around the world.
About the RoleDo you love shaping brand presence through smart strategy and compelling content? Are you obsessed with making sure every post serves a purpose—and connects with real business results? We’re looking for a Social Media Manager based on-site in our Sherwood Park office, who can turn strategy into action—someone who thrives on pairing big-picture thinking with hands-on execution and knows how to deliver content that performs.

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Build and execute BIS’s social media strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Recommend platforms and publishing cadence based on audience and content.
  • Own the content calendar: create, publish, and manage both static and video content across platforms.
  • Drive day-to-day execution on LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, and potentially Instagram/TikTok.
  • Track, measure, and report on performance using analytics tools.
  • Manage or recommend social media ad spend and paid strategies.
  • Present regular insights and updates.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product/Launch, and Customer Experience teams.

You might be the right fit if you:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a social media management or digital content role.
  • Thrive in a high-autonomy environment and take ownership from start to finish.
  • Are confident and persuasive—you know how to make the case for your strategies.
  • Move fast, iterate faster, and never settle for “just okay.”
  • Balance strategy with creativity—always looking for ways to improve.
  • Have excellent instincts for content design, especially for social platforms.
  • Can break down complex topics into engaging, audience-ready formats.
  • Know how to make social media a system, not just a series of posts.
  • Embrace using generative AI tools in your design or workflow.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Proven experience in a B2B, SaaS, or agency environment, with clear outcomes to show.
  • A portfolio of past social work that includes metrics and performance.
  • Familiarity with tools for content creation and campaign performance analysis (we’re tool-agnostic but you need to show results).
  • Experience collaborating with contractors or external creative teams.
