Position Summary:
The Human Resources Business Partner I (HRBP) is a strategic advisor and trusted partner to business leaders, responsible for aligning HR practices with organizational goals. The HRBP provides expertise in employee relations, performance management, talent development, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. This role balances strategic guidance with hands-on HR support to foster a high performing, engaged, and inclusive workplace.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with business leaders to understand organizational goals and provide HR strategies that support business objectives.
- Advise and coach managers on leadership, performance management, employee development, and engagement practices.
- Support workforce planning, organizational design, and talent management initiatives to ensure the business is equipped to meet future needs.
- Manage employee relations matters by providing guidance, conducting investigations when necessary, and ensuring fair resolution in alignment with company values and legal requirements.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on recruitment strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
- Facilitate performance review and goal-setting processes, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across the organization.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development to identify training needs and support employee career growth opportunities.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster a culture of belonging.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to provide insights and recommend data-driven solutions for business leaders.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws as well as internal HR policies and practices.
- Lead and participate in HR projects and programs that enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Up to 10% of domestic travel.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a business partner or HR generalist capacity.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, and best practices.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with leaders and employees at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
