Plascore has an opening for a Quality Engineer who can plan and direct activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for manufacturing processes, materials and products.

 

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assists with audits, including closing out audit findings, creating reports and determining proper corrective and preventive actions.

2. Reviews company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures.

3. Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns. 4. Assists with continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.

5. Responsible for non-conforming material, tracking and reporting on rejection of material.

6. Develop training to build quality awareness.

7. Assists with customer specific requirements. Support/perform conformance to customer specifications (PPAP, 1st article, data sheets, etc.)

8. Assist with planning, organizing, and managing the overall activities of receiving/outgoing quality functions.

9. Assist, when necessary, with gage calibrations, conformance testing, special testing, die and fixture approvals.

10. Basic Understanding of statistical analysis: SPC, Control Charts, Capability, etc.

11. Assist Quality Manger with supplier development.

12. Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to production of new products are in accordance with approved data.

13. Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.

14. Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment, and methods.

15. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

16. Continually look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.

17. Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications & Benefits

Degree relevant to engineering and/or quality

3-5 years of relevant experience 

Additional Requirements

• QMS experience 9100 preferred
• Power BI experience
• Mascap experience
• Technical writing 
• Trustworthy, dependable, humble and driven- a must
• Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
