As part of the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) domain of ING Belgium, the Integrated Risk Management team ensures robust risk reporting and compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.
Our mission includes developing and maintaining internal and regulatory credit risk models, steering credit risk policies, and delivering accurate reporting to stakeholders such as the National Bank of Belgium and the European Central Bank.
Your key responsibilities
As an experienced Data/Business Analyst with strong expertise in risk and regulatory compliance supporting the Integrated Risk Management team you will play a key role in delivering projects aligned with the BCBS 239 roadmap and data management initiatives.
Your role will ensure the bank’s risk data aggregation and reporting capabilities comply with BCBS 239 principles, strengthening data governance, improving risk reporting accuracy, and supporting regulatory
expectations across risk domains.
Your responsibilities will include one or more of the following project activities:
Data Governance & Lineage
• Document data flows and dependencies across systems to enhance transparency and regulatory compliance.
• Define and maintain data dictionaries, lineage, and metadata for risk data elements.
• Assist in defining data ownership, policies, and controls to ensure consistency and accountability.
Data Quality & Controls
• Collect business requirements, define data quality checks, and monitor compliance.
• Support controls and remediation plans to validate risk data aggregation processes.
Reporting & Documentation
• Create dashboards to track progress and compliance with BCBS 239 principles.
• Centralize documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
We look for
As a Data/Business Analyst within Integrated Risk you have:
• A minimum of 5 years of experience working in business analysis, data analytics, or data science in the banking sector (preferably on the Integrated and Credit risk side).
• Proven experience with BCBS239 implementation or similar regulatory frameworks.
• Strong interest and understanding of data, systems, regulation, and data lake architecture within the risk department.
• Affinity with SQL and understanding of risk data aggregation, and reporting processes is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fluency in English is essential.
