THE ROLE

We are seeking a motivated and creative Junior Content Creator / Social Media Support to join the Office of Bill Crews and support our Brand and Communications function.

This role provides hands-on, executional support across social media and digital platforms under the guidance of the Brand Content Coordinator. You will assist with the creation, scheduling and publication of content that reflects BCF’s mission and values while building your skills in ethical, purpose-led storytelling.

The role is available on a full-time or part-time basis, with flexibility across four or five days. Availability for weekend work and special events is required, including content capture at key programs and community events.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As our Junior Content Creator / Social Media Support, you will:

  • Assist with creating social media content including graphics, captions, short-form video and basic copy
  • Support content production for campaigns, appeals and organisational communications
  • Help maintain content libraries including images, templates and digital assets
  • Assist with scheduling and publishing content across social media platforms
  • Support the maintenance of content calendars and meet publication deadlines
  • Monitor comments, messages and basic engagement metrics and escalate as required
  • Support approved content capture at events and activities, including occasional weekend work
  • Apply brand guidelines, tone and visual standards consistently across all outputs
  • Submit content for review and implement feedback in a timely and professional manner
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to source content under direction

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You are an early-career content professional who is organised, reliable and eager to learn. You take direction well, meet deadlines and understand the importance of respectful and ethical storytelling in a community services environment.

You will also bring:

  • Demonstrated interest or early experience in content creation or social media
  • Basic graphic design skills using tools such as Canva
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Basic video editing skills for digital platforms
  • Some experience using a DSLR camera or willingness to learn
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and special events
  • A respectful and person-centred approach aligned with BCF’s mission and values

Tertiary study or qualifications in marketing, communications, media or a related field are desirable but not essential.
